Project Overview:

We are supporting a large-scale offshore oil and gas redevelopment project focused on subsea system enhancements, infrastructure modernization, and field extension activities. The project spans engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases with a strong focus on subsea umbilical systems, power cable routing, and integration with topside and drilling systems.

Role Overview:

The Senior Mechanical Engineer (Umbilical & Power Cable) will be responsible for providing expert engineering support across all project stages—from concept and FEED through detailed design and execution. This role plays a vital part in subsea infrastructure development, ensuring full lifecycle delivery, technical integrity, and integration with broader offshore facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage mechanical design activities related to subsea umbilicals, power cables, and associated control systems.

Execute engineering across all project phases including feasibility, FEED, detailed design, construction, and commissioning.

Conduct and review analyses involving lateral buckling, on-bottom stability, routing, free spans, risers, spools, and installation.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery of engineering scopes on time and to specification.

Oversee the development and review of method statements, work packs, and deliverables for engineering and offshore execution.

Act as a technical focal point for subsea systems, supporting interface management with contractors, topsides, drilling, and O&M teams.
