These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​ We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins. **Job Description** Your job • You will be responsible for developing the mechanical design of products and sub-assemblies from initial concept through to high volume manufacture and will be expected to make complex design decisions along the way. This will encompass: - • Development and delivery of the mechanical design in line with project requirements. • Creating 3D CAD data and 2D Drawings for manufacture. • Ensuring product quality using best practice techniques e.g. DFMEA, DfM, GD&T. • Preparation of Verification and Validation test plans. • Managing timescales and cost in line with the Project plan. • Working closely with the Project Manager, Hardware design and Test teams. To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have: - • Minimum BSc/BEng in Mechanical Design Engineering. • Experienced with Solidworks. • Experienced with the following manufacturing techniques; Casting, Injection Moulding, Machining. • Knowledge of Design for Quality techniques and tools. • Experience in ‘Design for Manufacture’ in a high-volume industry. • Experience in design and testing for harsh environments, including sealing, corrosion resistance and vibration. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills. • Willing to work with the team in the office 4 days a week. • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
