The **Senior Material Handler** is a key team member responsible for the efficient and accurate handling, storage, and movement of materials within the warehouse. This position requires a high level of expertise in material handling, inventory management, and logistics. The Senior Material Handler leads by example, supports training efforts, and may act as a team lead in the absence of supervision.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products for accuracy and quality.
+ Pick, pack, and stage outgoing shipments according to customer or production requirements.
+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
+ Ensure proper labeling, storage, and inventory tracking of materials using WMS or ERP systems.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
+ Conduct cycle counts and support physical inventory audits as required.
+ Assist in training new material handlers and junior team members.
+ Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damages, or unsafe conditions to the Warehouse Supervisor.
+ Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Production, Purchasing, Quality) to ensure material availability and accuracy.
+ Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the warehouse.
**QUALIFICATIONS** **:**
+ High School Diploma or GED certificate
+ Previous experience in manufacturing, automation, or assembly environment
+ 3+ years of Material Handling, shipping and receiving, or similar experience
+ communicate effectively to team members and management staff.
+ Basic Computer skills - Microsoft office or ERP system experience required

**DAY IN THE LIFE** **:**
**Physical Demands:**
+ Heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds.
+ Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility or customer job site.
+ Regularly required to listen, talk to, and see employees and customers on a daily basis
+ General office environment and use of phone and computer equipment.
+ Travel as required to fulfill the duties listed above or as required by the Company.
+ Standard weekly job hours: 40 hours
