Wayfair is looking for a strategic, agile and results-oriented leader to oversee our YouTube, Audio, and Programmatic Video media investments. In this role, you will manage a high-performing team responsible for shaping and executing full-funnel media strategies across these key emerging channels. You will lead our partnerships with major media partners such as YouTube, Spotify, The Trade Desk, iHeart Radio and more, while guiding our growth and performance through smart audience strategies, innovative ad formats, buy types, and creative.
As digital media consumption shifts rapidly, this leader will ensure we stay ahead of trends, implement best-in-class buying strategies, and drive measurable impact on both brand health and customer acquisition goals. The ideal candidate will bring depth of experience in YouTube and programmatic platforms, a strong fluency in audience targeting and measurement, and experience mentoring and scaling teams.
What You'll Do:
+ Lead the vision, strategy, and execution for YouTube, Programmatic Video, and Audio (streaming, podcast, terrestrial radio) channels.
+ Manage and develop an in-house team of media buyers and marketing analysts, setting strategic direction, coaching for growth, and ensuring operational excellence.
+ Lead relationships with media agencies, technology vendors, and publisher partners—ensuring best-in-class execution, transparency, and continuous innovation.
+ Own cross-channel investment strategy—balancing brand and performance goals while driving efficiency and incrementality.
+ Develop the creator strategy and operational plan across YouTube & Audio, utilizing 3p partners to build relationships and deliver a high volume of platform-native content
+ Act as the subject matter expert on YouTube, ensuring advanced capabilities in targeting, creative formats, bidding strategies, and measurement frameworks are leveraged across campaigns.
+ Oversee programmatic media buying —managing partners (DSPs, SSPs, DMPs), ensuring supply quality, and executing private marketplace (PMP) and guaranteed deals.
+ Collaborate closely with analytics to design and implement measurement frameworks (e.g., brand lift, incrementality testing, MMM), and deliver reporting that connects media investment to business outcomes.
+ Partner with creative, brand, product marketing, and audience teams to develop briefs and ensure creative assets are optimized by channel.
+ Manage and optimize media budgets, ensuring pacing accuracy, surfacing reallocation opportunities, and advocating for investments based on data and market trends.
What You’ll Need:
+ 8+ years of experience in digital media strategy, planning, or buying, with specific depth in YouTube and programmatic platforms (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk).
+ 3+ years of experience managing and developing media teams, with a track record of cultivating talent and building a collaborative, high-performance culture.
+ Experience managing 8-figure media budgets with a balance of strategic forward-planning and real-time agility
+ Strong understanding of the full digital media ecosystem including CTV/OTT, programmatic display, audio, and biddable platforms.
+ Hands-on knowledge of YouTube ad formats (e.g. Video Action, Masthead, Shorts), performance optimization strategies, and lift studies.
+ Experience with programmatic best practices, including audience strategy, inventory management, frequency control, brand safety, and identity resolution.
+ Experience managing large media budgets with accountability for business outcomes.
+ Proficiency in measurement platforms (GA4, Nielsen, MMM, MTA, Lift studies), with ability to synthesize insights and guide optimization decisions.
+ Experience leading cross-functional planning with internal stakeholders, agencies, and external partners.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and executives.
This is a hybrid role located at our Boston HQ. This role is in office M-Th and remote on Fridays.
