As a Bill of Characteristics Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you are the voice of manufacturing engineering on the creation and incorporation of the Bill of Characteristics (BoC) with quality control plans to the shop floor. You will work in a cross functional team with the BoC team to issue BoCs via CID and implement them on the shop floor via completion of First Article Inspections (FAI). BoC will improve quality outcomes with reduced quality escapes across the Aerospace business. You will be responsible for providing manufacturing expertise and perspective while creating and incorporating a part specific (BoC).

Validating the BoC and and CNs on the face of the drawingEscalating BoC conflicts to the BoC Leadership TeamInitiating BoC CIDs and progressing them through the Change Assessment ProcessUpload of BoC to the design change systemObtaining Design Change Approvals and making any required updates based on approver feedbackSupporting supplier and shop quality in BoC incorporation on the shop floor. This effort may include all or some of the following Creation of DFMEA/PFMEACreation of control plansIncorporating Characteristic list into inspection planningCollecting Delta FAI dataRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years quality, manufacturing, engineering, project or supply chain experience) + Minimum of 5 years quality, manufacturing, engineering, project or supply chain experienceLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
