We have an excellent opportunity for someone like you to join our innovative team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for high volume manufacturing for our Penang, Malaysia facility. You will support the development and implementation of manufacturing processes of electro-mechanical parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies for new product deployment. This role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of products through rigorous process analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives. This will happen by you creating an efficient and consistent process by which new products are transitioned from NPI center to high volume production.

Position Details:
Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for released products; interface with cross functional groups to support production and resolve manufacturing and quality issuesCoordinate, prepare and execute on product transfers, as well as participate in the training of the personnel.Set up and automate Manufacturing processes for existing and new product introductions, estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process improvements on new or existing product lines.Utilize Lean methodologies to refine manufacturing methods, processes, and use tools to improved and streamline production processes for new and existing products using Value Stream Mapping, 6S and Kaizen techniques Utilize Problem solving tools and statistical techniques in problem solving and driving corrective actionsCreate, update and maintain manufacturing process documentation in a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) environment to ensure all work/test instructions and forms are properly controlled and to the latest revision.Verify BOMs and establish routings with associated labor standards for new part numbers.Train and certify assembly operators on Manufacturing ProcessesDesigns tools and fixtures for new and existing product lines Coordinates time studies, line balancing for process optimizationParticipate in and support Manufacturing outsourcing activitiesGenerate and process Engineering Change OrdersProcure and implement Assembly Tools and FixturesWell versed in MS Office, and Oracle is a plus.Requirements:
B.S. or higher degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering 5+ years’ experience in an electronics or electro/mechanical manufacturing environment requiring multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize in a high mix low volume environment 2+ years of experience in Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies, and working knowledge of ISO 9001 work environment.Hands-on experience with electrical systems (AC/DC, analog/digital circuits) and system wiring is preferred Knowledge of and experience with Vacuum Systems and Leak Detection is preferredKnowledge of and experience with structured problem-solving tools and techniquesKnowledge of and experience with SPC and process control implementation, Minitab experience is a plusKnowledge of and experience with SolidWorks or CAD is a plusKnowledge of and experience with Training production personnel and Presentation skills Good verbal and written communication skills in English is requiredOther Information:
