Position Summary:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, defining quality controls, and implementing strategies to reduce process variation. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to support product development, ensure manufacturability, and drive continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities:Participate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews to enhance production efficiency.Review technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications to ensure manufacturability.Create and maintain engineering documentation, including routings, bills of materials (BOMs), and customer requirements.Design and manage the fabrication or procurement of fixtures, ensuring successful implementation on the production floor.Lead or support problem-solving initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.Collaborate with Operations to implement and monitor consistent data reporting systems.Develop and deliver training, draft work instructions, and support the rollout of new processes.Evaluate complex engineering challenges and lead cross-functional resolution efforts.Act as a technical liaison for new product introductions and customer engagements.Conduct process validations and develop associated protocols and documentation.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles.Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret complex technical data and develop practical solutions.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.Experience with process automation and industrial systems.High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process control.Preferred Qualifications:7+ years of engineering experience.Hands-on experience operating CNC machinery.Familiarity with integrated business planning (e.g., Sales & Operations Planning), quality system deployment, and lean manufacturing in an industrial setting.Experience with ISO 13485 standards.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
