Your responsibilities:
Engineer with deep interaction with plant operations but also supports business unit's needs.
Participates in the assessment, evaluation, planning and execution of projects where safety, quality and productivity are essentials.
Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment placement and operation.
Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve production process to reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
Standardize processes and production methods between multiple factories to reach the best way to do it, intercompany best practices approach.
Interfaces with strategic organizations for the execution of time sensitive projects to maximize manufacturing capabilities while creating resiliency within the company.
Support advance manufacturing/operational excellence teams abroad to successfully install new tools, machines, and equipment in local facilities.
Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement.
Maintains product lines by implementing changes to improve manufacturability and increase production yield.
Applies failure analysis to determine root causes of problems and failures and develop solutions or recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
Evaluates equipment requirements, cost analyses, and proposals for integrating machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process.
Coordinates all pre-production activities including sample evaluation, design qualification and prototype production.
Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.
Determines parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedule required to maintain machines and equipment in prescribed condition.
Assist technicians and/or maintenance with building and/or assembly of various machines and equipment when necessary
Other Duties as Assigned
Be the leader for continuous improvement initiatives and accountable for KPIs of the area.
Improve safety conditions and take immediate action in case risk/concerns are identified.
Shift swap, whether assignments may be on 2nd and 3rd shift and/or weekends.
You will have:
Industrial, mechanical or related career engineer.
At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment. Fabrication, high mix, low-mid-high-volume overview preferrable.
Advanced English, fluent conversations and capable of leading operational and technical committees.
Lean Manufacturing Knowledge and Six Sigma, Green Belt preferred.
Experience and approach for DFM desired.
AutoCAD, CAD software skills.
Understanding of ERP, SAP preferred.
Knowledge of MES.
Understanding of cost and finance concepts. CAPEX management and execution.
