**Your role and responsibilities**
We are seeking a Manual QA Tester with a strong QA mindset and the ability to quickly ramp up across diverse systems and applications. This person will play a key role in ensuring test coverage across backend and frontend systems while collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should understand product requirements deeply, identify gaps in coverage, and take ownership of test activities across the software development lifecycle.
They will work using standard enterprise tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Postman, and manage access through ServiceNow tickets and cloud-based portals accessed via SLID credentials.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze user stories and requirements to understand both functional needs and upstream/downstream impacts
* Proactively identify missing requirements or potential system impacts that could compromise quality
* Design, write, execute, and manage manual test cases for multiple applications, including UI, backend microservices, and APIs
* Maintain and evolve test case repositories using Jira as the primary test case management and documentation tool
* Collaborate closely with developers to validate features and ensure proper integration
* Conduct backend testing, including API validation using Postman, database queries, and service-level verifications
* Support testing for a wide variety of internal applications, including user-facing apps, third-party integrations, and internal microservices
* Access systems and environments via cloud-based URLs, using their SLID credentials
* Request additional system or environment access through ServiceNow tickets
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Strong QA Analytical Mindset
Ability to think critically, identify gaps, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
* Manual Test Design and Execution Experience
Proven ability to create and run test cases for UI, backend, and APIs.
* API Testing with Postman
Essential for validating backend services and integrations.
* Test Case Management in Jira
Experience documenting and managing test cases using Jira.
* Quick Ramp-Up on New Applications
Ability to understand complex systems and workflows quickly.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Experience with Confluence for documentation
* Familiarity with database testing and service validation
* Experience working with cloud-based tools and SLID credentials
* Submitting/tracking access via ServiceNow
* Exposure to AWS, Kubernetes, or containerized services
* Understanding of Sales/Post-Sales flows
* Experience with Mobile App testing (iOS/Android)
* Knowledge of deployment pipelines
* Experience with third-party integrations
* Exposure to internally developed UI-based applications
