The Senior Manager , Technical Project Management will lead the Blood Virus (BV) Project Team and engage with other functions, being an ambassador for best practice matrix reporting structure, to support the daily BV Group activities in delivering on customer needs.

This position is part of the Operations Department located in Co.Clare. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Develop extensive detailed project plans and sub plans using project management tools for delivery to agreed targets and objectives

Responsible for the management and development of indirect reports in the project team while achieving high performance

Lead by example.  Walk the talk in relation to engagement.  Develop and implement project engagement strategy, coach and mentor more junior project participants to achieve high engagement across the project team

Ensure that daily management is set up to track the progress of projects and support activities to ensure continuity of supply of product to the market and ensure projects are effectively set up and meet their timelines

Anticipate internal and/or external business challenges, conduct thorough investigations on project impediments and recommend innovative solutions using best practice knowledge to improve project outcomes

Use of DBS tools and techniques to streamline processes, e.g., SW, TPI, VPM, Daily Management, etc. Kaizen Leader – Certified Kaizen leader in relevant DBS tools desirable.

Co-ordinate with relevant group across the Company to ensure that procedures/ specification, raw materials, resources, and facilities are in place to support the BV group

Implement operational activities for cost reduction projects

Communicate and co-ordinate to relevant supply Chain departments the information required for new product introductions and to co-ordinate with the relevant operations departments the changes required for the implementation of new processes/procedures, etc.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8) in relevant technical field with 14+ years’ experience

Proven problem investigation and problem-solving skills are essential

Demonstrated ability to effectively priorities and lead a team to deliver on commitments and meet the need of the business

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Technical knowledge of BV and IA products

Prior experience managing strategic Supply Chain projects

A good working understanding of CGMP and ISO/FDO requirements
