Senior Manager Tax , Litigation & Audit Tax
Join our dynamic Tax Controversy & Risk Management team and drive strategic initiatives that maximize value for our company! As the Tax Senior Manager, you'll be a key leader in shaping the future of our organization's tax strategy and positioning us for continued success. You will lead our Tax Controversy team, which includes managing tax audits, tax litigation and risk management activities in Brazil. As a Senior Manager, you'll have the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and analytical prowess to uncover transformative tax savings opportunities while maintaining effective risk management controls.

What You'll Achieve:
- Develop comprehensive tax strategies and solutions tailored to the upcoming Brazilian Tax Reform and our evolving business needs
- Spearhead the analysis of complex tax laws, regulations and incentives to identify innovative ways to optimize our company's tax position
- Partner closely with senior leadership to align litigation strategy with broader business objectives and growth initiatives
- Monitor and actively manage tax cases in Superior Courts (STF and STJ), identifying opportunities and potential risks
- Drive the tax controversy strategy ensuring long-term sustainability and favorable outcomes
- Lead a team responsible for managing tax debit clearance certificates and maintaining current accounts with tax authorities
- Identify and assess litigation risks and opportunities, developing preventive measures and strategic approaches

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the company's overall tax planning strategy to optimize tax efficiency and minimize the organization's tax liabilities;
- Conduct thorough analysis of the company's operations, transactions, and financial data to identify opportunities for tax savings and planning;
- Stay up-to-date on the latest changes in Brazilian tax laws, regulations, and incentives, and evaluates their impact on the business;
- Collaborate closely with the accounting, finance, and legal teams to align tax planning with the company's broader business objectives;
- Prepare detailed tax planning recommendations and proposals, presenting them to senior leadership for approval and
- Coordinate the implementation of approved tax planning strategies, ensuring proper documentation and execution.

A day in the life
This position is not directly involved in day-to-day indirect taxes compliance but is responsible for delivering the advisory planning, real time coordination, and communication of various tax-related projects across regions, including supporting engagements and negotiations with external advisors, government bodies, tax authorities, and auditors.
