The Sr. Manager of Supply Planning is responsible for managing supply across the planning horizon and assuming responsibility for planning of finished goods, with a keen eye on remaining elements in material flow (production, raw materials, outplants, site logistics, contract manufacturing) as well as managing exceptions on a real time basis. This role demands customer focus, strong decision-making capabilities, agility, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage supply across multiple functions and suppliers. This position will play a key role in the development, institutionalization, and continuous improvement of our Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) work process. Long term this role will also be responsible for the optimization (service, cost, quality, reliability and sustainability) across network of supply points
-Develops solutions to a variety of complex and unusual problems that require independent judgment and ingenuity relative to supply planning often referring to policies and procedures for guidance.
-Work is accomplished under general direction and completed work is reviewed for results of accuracy and adequacy
-Develops and maintains Inventory stocking strategy including, not limited to; safety stock, customer level strategies and availability including reservations, excess and obsolete, performance (turn goals), billings, seasonal, product life cycle and implements plans that enables upside.
-Develop operational supply plans (18-month horizon) communicating the plans to manufacturing/procurement partners and verify feasibility.
-Ensure all promotions are delivered on-time
-Maintain direct contact with key customers to drive innovative service improvement focused on enhancing the Klein brand in the market.
-Identify, scope and lead improvement opportunities designed to; Minimize supply risk, Improve our customer’s competitive position, Reduce supply cycle-time, Institutionalize best business practices, Support ES&OP process, Balance finished good supply & demand over a + one-year planning horizon.
-Ensure supply capabilities are proactively installed to support growth.
-Proactively drive plant resourcing discussions driven by projected increases/ decreases in demand.
-Facilitate supply resolutions for channel customer supply/demand spikes, including custom built kits.
-Ensure that issues related to manufacturing, supply chain or financial projections are resolved or escalated resulting in an approved financial forecast.
-Ensure service standards are measured and achieved by all supporting functions.
-Define and/ or accelerate cross-fucntional collaboration opportunities.
-Develop, maintain, and continuously improve supply planning process, as measured by SIOP and demand planning metrics.
-Document demand planning and forecasting processes, policies, and governance.
-Work with I.T. for system enhancements acting as subject matter expert (SME) for demand planning function, as required.
-Manage and develops a high performing supply planning associates and team
-Drive process, technology, and operational excellence
-Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Typically 5-7 years of progressive experience in demand or supply planning
Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering, Business Supply Chain or other related technical degree.
APICS CPIM certification preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred.
Know-how of supply chain theory and processes, operational execution, operations needs, asset management, business and accounting principles are critical.
Demonstrated ability to intrapreneur within a corporate environment.
Prior lead by influence experiences are beneficial.
