Senior Manager - Supplier Management

Job overview and responsibilitiesThe Senior Manager-Supplier Management leads a team and a portfolio of OEM and third-party repair suppliers to provide aircraft components to the operation. Utilize understanding of departmental contracts and airframe manufacturer product support and assurance agreements to supervise a team to ensure the capture of all available contractual remedies and incentives, including but not limited to warranty, business consideration, turnaround time, lead time remedies and non-remedy incentives. Drives continuous improvement for cost, quality, and timeliness of repaired components and warranty claims. Leads, trains, and develops subordinate managers, transaction managers and analysts. Responsible for relationship management with key suppliers. Monitors and creates performance metrics to optimize performance. Leads development of automation and digital technology tools and applications do drive efficiency and dependability. Coordinates cross-functional workstreams with internal stakeholders including Logistics, Inventory Management, AOG, Planning, Engineering, Sourcing, and others.Monitor Repair Order (RO) performance for compliance to cost, repair time, and quality metricsIdentify shortfalls and areas of friction and intervene and escalate to mitigate both tactically and structurallySet Strategy and Supervise the preparation, filing, and capture of all aircraft warranty and business consideration claimsManage supplier relationships through subordinate Managers to ensure robust and repeatable two-way tactical and strategic communicationsShare information and aspirations to ensure we are partners in each other’s successMaintain risk analysis and mitigation plans for key suppliersLead, train, and develop subordinate teammates to bring each to their full potentialMonitor recurrent mandatory training and guide deeper developmental conversations using the United leadership model and other paradigms as appropriateCreate requirements and supervise development of automation, analytic, and data visualization tools to improve efficiency and dependability of transaction management, including dashboards, alerting, user interface and workflow collaborationServe as subject-matter expert and internal focal on the RO lifecycle and warranty process for internal stakeholders to support process-improvement effortsPrepare and edit supplier-facing and executive communication and formal agreement creation with procurementProvide quality-control and editorial guidance to subordinate managers

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelors degree in Business, technical, aviation, or related discipline8 years of work experience2 years as an organizational leader (two or more tiers of subordinates with two or more direct reports)2 years managing aircraft component repair activity and our warranty and remedy process. Could be hands-on, e.g. AP, engineering, or business management.Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills.Able to partner effectively across various disciplines.Able to understand complex interplays between operational finance and technical decisions.Microsoft Office proficientMust be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorshipMust be fluent in English (written and spoken)Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
