Job summary

We are looking for a software engineering manager to lead, manage and grow our high performing team that is responsible for our public trust services platform. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the technical direction, strategic planning, and execution of key projects while fostering a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture. This role also entails working closely with senior leadership, product management, and other stakeholders.

 

What you will do

Collaborate with agile, cross-functional teams in the technical planning and strategy of large-scale backend systems, with a focus on secure and high-availability services supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Assume accountability for the efficient delivery of new features and functionality with uptime, compliance, and quality in mind. Develop a deep understanding of PKI products, architecture, and systems. Understand compliance standards to ensure deliverables meet industry expectations. Manage and grow highly capable engineering teams.

 

What you will have

10+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years in technical leadership or engineering management. Experience with leading teams and large scale, cross functional software projects. Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. Experience with Java and REST APIs. Experience with both relational (MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL (Cassandra) databases. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across time zones, fostering alignment, communication, and productivity in remote and hybrid environments. Strong knowledge of software engineering best-practices.

 

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. (Or equivalent experience). Experience with availability zones and distributed systems. Technologies we use extensively – experience will be a plus: Java 17+ SpringBoot and Spring Framework Cassandra MariaDB Kafka Docker Jenkins Git and Github Understanding of SSL, PKI, and other security related technologies.
