**Job Overview:**
The Senior Manager QHSES Assurance is tasked with developing departmental plans, including business, production, and organizational priorities. The role requires multi-disciplinary expertise and an understanding of the industry to achieve financial and operational objectives. The Senior Manager QHSES Assurance manages multiple related teams, sets organizational priorities, and allocates the appropriate resources. They must identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organizational problems. The Senior Manager QHSES Assurance directly impacts business results by supporting and function-specific projects, products, services, and technologies and developing policies and plans.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Establish Quality programs with the Director of Assurance as an instrument of continual improvement for all disciplines across the fabrication yard and identify goals, objectives & targets that improve Organizational performance and effectiveness
+ Emphasize and drive performance quality to ensure efficiency & effectiveness within the process to deliver “First Time Quality”
+ Develop and implement effective problem-solving techniques that prevent the recurrence of defects
+ Execute the process of Statistical Process Control (SPC) to determine trends for KPIs, QI, Cost of Quality, etc., for each functional process within the company
+ Provide technical support for materials and welding for bids and projects
+ Resolve any technical issues that arise on a project by determining fitness for purpose justification
+ Promote quality and productivity as well as compliance with the code of business conduct
+ Ensure that the training needs of quality department personnel are identified and actioned upon within budgetary controls placed in function
+ Attend weekly operations meetings and provide inputs to relevant topics and update Quality stats to the project and Functional Management representatives
+ Liaise with the Director of Assurance to ensure that the Quality System meets the requirements established in the Business Line Quality Manual
+ Provide input to bids for future works and assess workforce and resource requirements for Project work scope utilizing local personnel and vendors as much as possible and review cost calculations for QA-QC-NDT needs for Projects
+ Promote closer interfaces and awareness of Project Quality Plans and Procedures with the respective functional Quality personnel in liaison with Project Quality Teams
+ Participate in Industrial Engineering initiatives and support the implementation of 3C and 5S
+ Oversee the KPI, QI, and Performance Quality process, trend analysis on a global level, and initiate ground-level documentation and understanding for benchmarking and lessons learned within the operating units
+ Analyze trends of all measurement data to assist in setting targets, future planning, establishing action plans for improvement, and effectively following up to verify compliance
+ Work with the project quality manager to Plan and support all QC and NDT activities
+ Use stakeholder feedback to modify and improve solutions
+ Translate concepts and information into simplified written and visual instruction or training material
+ Own and lead the implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with all McDermott policies and procedures
+ Ensure employees understand their responsibility and authority to effectively implement the requirements of all McDermott policies and procedures
+ Ensure the timely completion of all mandatory training by themselves and their teams
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study
+ 15+ years of relevant experience related to EPC construction and fabrication
+ Possess ISO Auditor 9001, 14001, 18001 other globally recognized Quality Management Systems Internal Auditor training
+ Strong ability to communicate at all levels within the organization and the ability to summarize and explain complex technical situations
+ Strong understanding of lean/continuous improvement concepts, principles, and practice
