Role Definition:
This position is mainly responsible for the production of hydraulic valves and pumps and will lead a team with around 150 team members. He/she will be accountable for:
• Overseeing programs and practices for hiring, performance and development/training the personnel that perform and support the plant operating functions.
• Managing development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.
• Directing manage the daily production to meet internal goals and customer expectations; monitoring process and personnel performance of scheduled work activities to remove operating impediments and achieve established operating goals.
Key Requirements:
• Safety - Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
• Quality Management - Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, techniques and ability to lead the team to ensure industry-leading quality performance, identify and lead quality improvement projects, reduce quality defects and optimize costs.
• Collaboration - Work closely with stakeholders to create and deliver world-class components and solutions superior to the competitors.
• Team Management - Knowledge of successful performance management techniques and practices to build a high-performance and highly cohesive team.
Background/Experience:
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience majoring in engineering, and in addition, ten years plus of progressively responsible job-related experience.
• A certain understanding & basic troubleshooting knowledge of machining equipment and automated equipment is preferred.
• English communication capability is a must.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
• Be familiar with lean and smart manufacturing is a plus.
Additional Information:
The position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
