What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Director, Global Privacy Program. This position is primary responsible for management of the Privacy Program’s reporting system & technology to ensure compliance with global privacy regulations and RBC’s policies and standards.
What will you do?
Lead the maintenance, enhancement, and methodology reviews of enterprise privacy risk management tools including updating and developing user guidance and training materials.Lead enterprise reporting activities, including developing and reviewing metrics such as Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).Maintain enterprise privacy risk management tools, including providing tool support for end users, and partnering with Production Support and Development teams to resolve issues and defects.Lead annual system enhancement projects to ensure the privacy risk management tools remain relevant to privacy policies, standards, and align to regulatory requirements as well as the Global Privacy Program’s strategic direction.Conduct annual methodology reviews of the privacy risk management tools and present suggestions for systems enhancements.Perform requirements gathering with stakeholders on tool requirements, prioritize enhancements in alignment with technology budgets and resources, and help facilitate change management exercises.Provide support to Archer Application Development teams during release periods, including testing changes to the tools (i.e. PIV / user testing) prior and post release. Maintain a backlog of tool enhancements, pre-prioritized and socialized with senior management and Development teams to ensure application development resources are used effectively and efficiently.What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
University bachelor’s degree equivalent in related field5 years of experience in privacy risk managementExperience with risk reporting; including development of methodologies and metrics (e.g. Key Risk Indicators)Leading Technology development work (i.e. sprints) and/or product ownershipExperience with data visualization tools and reporting (i.e. Tableau, Power BI)Nice-to-have:
Coding will be an assetDemonstrated experience working in the financial services industryPrivacy certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP) including CIPP/C/A/CN/E/US, CIPM, CIPT, or CIPPExperience with JIRA and Archer platformsWhat’s in it for you?
