Senior Manager Organizational Effectiveness

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Organizational Effectiveness team is RBC’s Center of Excellence supporting businesses and leaders with Organizational Design and Change Management.  We collaborate with HR Business Partners, HR Centres of Expertise, and colleagues in the business/functional teams to build resources and provide advisory support for small to medium initiatives and facilitate complex enterprise-wide programs. 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Organizational Effectiveness, the Senior Manager, Organizational Effectiveness will work with talent partners and business leaders on organizational design, change management and workforce transformation to enable RBC to drive key business priorities.

What will you do?

Work with colleagues in HR, business and senior leaders as part of a fast-paced and high-performing team to enhance performance and outcomes across business units, platforms and the Enterprise overall.Strengthen RBC’s effectiveness and efficiency through the continued development and deployment of organizational effectiveness (OE) capabilities by supporting high priority Enterprise initiatives related to Organization Design and Change Management.Utilize your extensive consulting experience to facilitate the design and delivery of large complex Organizational Design and Change Management initiatives by applying structured methodologies and approaches.Build coherent storyboards and develop effective, high-quality, client ready materials with limited oversight (e.g. crisp action-titles, concise and streamlined wording)Own day-to-day processes within the project team and support Directors / Senior Director in maintaining project cadences (such as meeting minutes and daily huddles)Demonstrate strong analytical and data modelling skills including business cases development and proficiency manipulating large data sets.Act as a thought partner to Directors / Senior Director in OE areas of expertise to support credible recommendations and provide advisory support.Develop effective communication strategies and tactics to deliver the findings and solutions helping drive to alignment.Contribute to the continuous development and evolution of OE practices and capabilities, providing input and support to the evolving and expanding RBC OE methodologies, frameworks and tools.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

Passion for Organizational Effectiveness and building high performance teams.Knowledge of Organizational Design and Change Management practices, processes, and implications.Ability to advise senior leaders and implement programs in all areas of organizational effectiveness.Able to successfully effect change in a matrix organization and ability to manage the successfully transition from current to future state.Consulting toolkit with the ability to work and think strategically.Experience in breaking ambiguous problems into component parts, identifying logical methods to solve them and assessing business opportunities and impact.Capability to get things done in a variety of circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and RBC SMEs to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.Strong communication, presentation and storytelling skills (oral and written) with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to senior audiences
