The Onboard Product Development team is responsible for building the United brand through the strategic planning, design, and development of critical touchpoints in the overall customer experience onboard all United Airlines flights—aircraft interiors and seats, onboard amenities and partnerships, and United-branded merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager – Onboard Product Development will lead a team of experts to define, develop and bring to life the hard product cabin experience for new delivery and retrofit aircraft programs. The Senior Manager will work cross-functionally to drive our product roadmap, ensuring that our products are aligned with overall business goals, are NPS accretive, and drive revenue. They work with internal and external agency partners to define the overall product vision and strategy and bring that vision to life. They embody strategic thinking, analytical problem solving, impactful coaching, and superior communications skills.

Planning and strategy: Lead efforts to collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to develop, prioritize and optimize a long-term strategic road map for onboard product, taking into account timelines, financial analysis and success metricsData analysis and business cases: Work with teams to conduct research, analyze customer data and author business cases to identify opportunities for new products and features, making data-driven recommendations for product improvements, as well as tracking and measuring performance of products and offerings.Facilitating communication and collaboration: Builds strong collaborative relationships with the Onboard Products team, key leaders and working teams across the enterprise. Implements checkpoints across product development milestones to ensure proper alignment and visibility. Produces executive-level communications to tell the story of our visionGo-to-market and launch planning: Leads the team in telling the product story and the role it plays in our brand and marketing communications, including managing written, visual and in-person marketing assetsLeadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team dedicated to aircraft product excellence

Note: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement, with in-office requirements 50% of the time at United’s Corporate Headquarters in Chicago, IL. This role will also be required to travel up to 30% of the time.
