The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. As a Senior Manager, Strategic Pricing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies across all ADC brands and customer channels, including Managed Care, Medicaid, Medicare, Retail, and Point of Care (POC). The position supports the Pricing Committee Approval Process and works cross-functionally with Account Management, Finance, and Forecasting teams to create comprehensive pricing proposals. We seek an experienced pricing professional with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with Senior Leadership. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You'll Do

Develop list and net pricing recommendations in Pharmacy, DME, Hospital, POC and other channelsPrepare and present business cases to Pricing Committee for review and approvalConduct financial models and gross to net analytics in pharmacy supply chainsAssess and model scenarios for impacts/risks/opportunities of proposed government legislation, payer and environmental changesWork cross functionally with Forecasting, Finance, and Commercial Teams to project and monitoring payer mix and net pricesDevelop financial modeling, including pricing model upkeep and improvementMaintain pricing intelligence including environmental trends and knowledge of pricing and market access requirements across customer segmentsIdentify and anticipate key trends and assess opportunities and risks for pricing strategy developmentCollaborate with Contracting Teams to provide input into contract development, administration, and performanceSupport internal analysis and insights requests from Senior Leadership and Investor Relations

Experience You'll Bring

Required

B.A./B.S. required7 years relevant experience in Financial and Price ModelsStrong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and pricingKnowledge of US healthcare economics and price modelingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer orientation and focus

Preferred

MBA, or other advanced degree relevant to the position is preferred (Economics, Accounting, Finance or Healthcare management)Backgrounds in reimbursement, payer strategy, PBM Economics, and healthcare economics/pricing are desiredPossess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and capable of executing financial models in Microsoft Excel.Experience with Tableau or other visual analytics/BI software packages a plusKnowledge of Retail Pharmacy, DME, hospital and postacute care channels

The base pay for this position is $128,000.00 – $256,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
