As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Payments Technology group, you will take on a leadership role by offering technical coaching and advisory support to multiple technical teams. Additionally, you will anticipate the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm.

Job responsibilities

 

Develop and implement software solutions in this hands-on lead role by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, and providing technical leadership to all stages of the software development lifecycleProvide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasksBe accountable for decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and proceduresEnsures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholdersIdentifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessaryProvides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the teamCreates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience . In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise  Lead DevOps transformations by leveraging extensive experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and optimizing deployment processesExperience in Payment acquirer technologies and domainExperience leading teams of technologistsAbility to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiativesExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talentIn-depth knowledge of the services industry and their IT systemsPractical cloud native experienceExperience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
