Job SummaryAs the Senior Manager of Quality Engineering, you will lead the QE function for IoT products and platforms, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, secure, and reliable solutions. You will drive test strategy, automation, and quality governance across Software, firmware, Edge device and cloud components, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities• Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers across multiple IoT product lines• Collaborate directly with the Head of Engineering and Country Head to strategize quality releases• Work closely with a globally distributed team of SDETs, quality engineers, and developers on feature design and specifications• Define and implement quality strategies, test plans, and automation frameworks for software, embedded systems, mobile apps, and cloud services• Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, defect prevention, and release quality• Manage multiple IoT product releases simultaneously• Collaborate with Product Management, Development, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the SDLC• Oversee validation of connectivity protocols (e.g., BLE, Zigbee, MQTT) and ensure device interoperability• Support resource allocation and estimation efforts, and delegate routine tasks within the team• Maintain and support customer test setups in the lab by deploying IoT solutions across firmware, software, and cloud platforms• Ensure availability of the System QA test environment for each product• Manage quality metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting• Review end-to-end system use case scenarios with stakeholders, close gaps, and assess release readiness• Maintain the defect triage process and conduct continuous defect reviews for end-to-end products• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for critical field issuesSkills and Experience• 10+ years of experience in managing and growing high-performing Quality engineering teams• 24+ years of experience in system testing across Software, IoT firmware and cloud platforms.• Strong cross-functional organizational skills• Excellent people management skills — communication, teamwork, and leadership• Ability to coach and motivate team members for ongoing career growth• Proven success in leading projects in fast-paced, growing organizational environments• Experience with continuous delivery and continuous testing• Experience with driving UI automation tools such as Cypress and Karate framework for backend API testing• Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins and GitLab• Experience working with GCP and AWS managed services• Experience with Jira and test management tools such as Zephyr• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
