Join Gilead and help create possible, together. **Job Description** **Role** + The role of the access manager is to ensure and maximize the patients’ access to Gilead products in the Middle East countries. + The Access manager works on the development and the implementation of the Pricing and Market Access plan for the products as well as the development of the supportive value documentation and materials. + The Access manager monitors health policies and regulations in the region, recognizes risks and opportunities for the business and acts accordingly. + The Access manager provides guidance and proactive support for commercial teams on market access topics. + The Access manager attends to and manages public tenders in its territory. **Key Responsibilities** + Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the relevant stakeholders involved in access: payers, purchasers, hospital pharmacists, formulary listing and pricing committee members, insurance companies, stakeholders involved in health policies development. + Work on the development of the pricing and reimbursement strategy that optimizes the life-time value of Gilead products, in collaboration with other functions (Business Units, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Business Conduct, etc.) and in line with EMEA and corporate guidance. + Assessment of the Market access environment and the competitive landscape + Engage with global/regional pricing, reimbursement, and market access teams. + Work on the development/adaptation of relevant health economic models to support the strategy. + Work on the elaboration of innovative price schemes and access programs as well as the supporting business cases + Manage the implementation of pricing and access strategy. + Prepare and manage submissions of Gilead products in national, regional and local formularies. + Develop / adapt value dossier. + Utilize efficiently medical and epidemiological data to prepare negotiation strategy with the various stakeholders. + Work on evidence generation activities to support the value proposition of the products and answer to local payers’ requirements: + Economic evaluations, outcome studies and epidemiology. + Studies and projects that can arise from the request and/or collaboration with stakeholders clinical or non-clinical. + Develop and communicate effectively the value proposition: payer value story, key messages, Q&A, etc. + Work on the development/optimization of payer value communication tools by external consultants + Monitor and follow on the implementation of the Access programs. + Manage the price maintenance throughout product lifecycle in each country: + Continuously expand knowledge of the market and ability to recognize market changes and opportunities. + Elaborate yearly prices forecast based on knowledge of the price regulations, environment changes and the potential events that could impact prices. + Elaborate and implement mitigation plans to maintain optimal prices throughout the lifecycle of the products. + Ensure the development and the updating of the basic databases and tools that are essential for the functioning of the Pricing and Access capability: + Stakeholders mapping: Ensure updated stakeholder mapping at national, regional and local level for each country in the region. + Pricing knowledge platform: Price regulations in the different countries of the region. + Prices database: List and net prices of Gilead products and their competitors in the region. + Tenders database: complete mapping and follow-up of the tenders in the region. + Collaborate and network with HQ and EMEA teams in planning and reporting as well as teams across functions. + Develop and maintain personal relationship with global/regional market access and pricing colleagues. + Collaborate and contribute actively in the development of the cross-functional Brand plans. + Provide the guidance and support needed to the teams in the countries: + Provide the guidance and support to the Access leaders in Saudi Arabia, Levant and Iran + Ensure that all the requirements for local submissions are shared with the countries as needed. + Support the countries in developing their pricing/access schemes and building the business cases. + Follow-up on the implementation of the regional strategy and the access status of Gilead’s products. + Lead the x-KAM approach for formulary listing across the accounts and provide guidance for the development and implementation of the accounts action plans: + Facilitate collaboration, direction setting, alignment and follow-up of the implementation. + Acquire and maintain expertise within pricing, access and also within the assigned therapeutic area by searching and reading relevant literature, attending congresses, symposia and other relevant meetings. + Train / ensure assistance to cross-functional teams on market access and economic related topics (as well as for their relevant stakeholders). **Profile** + Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and at 3 years in a Market Access role related to pricing and/or reimbursement. + Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and at 3 years in a KAM role. + Good understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures linked to the pharmaceutical sector (i.e. pricing, reimbursement etc.) + Scientific and technical expertise and good knowledge of the pharmaceutical market especially in matters of Health Economics. + University Degree is required (preferably in pharmaceutical sciences or similar or relevant to Economics/Health Economics) + Master’s degree is an asset (preferably in Health Economics) + English skills. + Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office + Hard-working and enthusiastic + Time management skills & effective prioritization + Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills + Proven ability to show initiative and be proactive. + Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional working groups. + Excellent communications skills (Oral and written) to be able to present and actively
