This role will take responsibility for Inventory Planning and Management, Imports, Logistics and Material Management Functions at Diagnostics division of Roche Pakistan Limited.
This is a senior management people leader level role, based in Karachi and reports to the Director Finance and Operations.
This senior role is responsible for overseeing the planning and control of the flow of materials, products, and services for the Diagnostics division of Roche Pakistan Limited. As a Team Lead, you are entrusted with managing the Logistics Operations and the Inventory Planning and Management teams to ensure the efficient operation of the
function.
Your Opportunity
Inventory Planning & Management: Overseeing the end-to-end supply chain, from demand planning to ensuring continuous product supply. This includes strategic planning, leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and acting as the bridge between affiliate, regional, and global functions to align demand, supply, finance, and commercial plans requiring close coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service performance is maintained. Logistics & Material Management: Responsible for the entire logistics and material management functions. This involves managing the flow of products from origin to end-customer delivery and overseeing material handling, third-party warehousing, and shipping activities across Pakistan. You will also be responsible for lodging claims for issues like short shipments, damages, and temperature excursions.
Imports & Export Compliance: Responsible for managing the imports’ function, import compliance including the timely processing and issuance of DRAP NOCs for medical devices. This role also requires managing supply chain compliance with Export Controls and a strong familiarity with customs tariffs, H.S. Codes, SROs, and import/export policy orders.
Strategic & Operational Oversight: You will be tasked with identifying inefficiencies in demand and supply processes and proposing automated solutions. The position requires developing and implementing logistics plans, budgets, and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs while staying within budget constraints. You will also manage Global Data Master System (DMS) for the creation of local materials and Bills of Material (BOM) in SAP.
Other relevant responsibilities as per the requirement of the job, including drive projects and the continuous improvement of processes.
Who you are
Degree or equivalent qualification in supply chain management or related field
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain setting in MNCs. Experience as a people manager is desirable.
Strong knowledge in material planning and management, warehousing, distribution, and third-party logistics management is mandatory due to job nature
Familiar with SAP know-how in SD, MM, and DP modules.
Experience working in large multi-national companies is highly desirable
Experience in Supply Chain Quality for Medical Devices (e.g. ISO 13485, GDPMDS) is a plus
Familiar with customs tariff, H.S. Codes, SROs, import/export policy orders
Ability to lead and influence a team, as well as collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management.
