If you’re ready to work on our planes, join our Tech Ops experts and help keep our fleet in tip-top shape. Job overview and responsibilities Reporting to the Director-Inventory Management & Strategy, the Senior Manager-Inventory Management manages the team responsible for data and analytical tools and dashboards including predicative and ad hoc reporting supportThe Senior Manager is also accountable for developing strategic and tactical inventory plans for rotable and expendable parts of inventory investment (OEM or PMA) s to adequately support line maintenance, airframe overhaul, base maintenance, aircraft modification activities, and cabin provisioningManage the team in making daily strategic adjustments to station inventory levels for rotable and expendable parts to support the maintenance operationsThis includes, but not limited to, analyzing and establishing system service levels that support operations at the least total cost, adjusting allocations/ROPs to support service levels with expected flying and maintenance changes, being accountable for life cycle of inventory – inception through final disposition and being accountable for performance against plan     Mentor team to develop in their roles and skillsets  Identify opportunities to improve United's maintenance operations and provide various tech ops divisions data driven insights through analyticsBuild high-quality operational dashboards and reports for Tech Ops leadership, front-line management, and individual business teams throughout the organizationDocument the Tech Ops data landscape, maintain an inventory of reports, and plan for report consolidation, elimination, and/or improvementMonitors automation /execution planning tools driving continuous improvement through the systematic use of tools and techniques

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor's degreeEight (8) years of experience in analytics, managing procurement activities, material requirements planning, supply chain, expediting, or similar experienceAt least 3 years’ experience in a leadership/supervisory roleDeep understanding of data structures, relationships, and efficient transformationsFamiliarity with all parts of the data ecosystem -- acquisition, engineering, storage, management, analysis, visualization, and deploymentKnowledge and application of data visualization best practices to produce meaningful, elegant dashboardsProficiency writing complex queries and procedures using both traditional and modern technologies/languages (i.e. SQL, Python, Spark, etc.)Ability to learn what a business team does, then design a data/technology solution that connects business processes with quantifiable outcomesExposure to JavaScript, D3, HTML, CSS / front-end developmentAble to lead and direct a multidisciplinary team Comprehensive understanding of material logistics and supply chain management Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills  Self-motivated and engrained continuous improvement experience Strategic thinker with proven track record of implementing innovative solutions Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple and competing prioritiesStrong people skills and ability to develop internal and external relationshipsWorking knowledge of SQL or other data query language Able to travel regularly (up to 30%) across networkMust be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorshipMust be fluent in English (written and spoken)Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
