 WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

As a Senior Operation Manager for Regulatory programs, the individual will be responsible to ensure effective and efficient operational support of various Technology Operations pillars across areas such as group management, team effectiveness, communications, financial management, and operational reporting with regards to Intra-Group Agreements (IGA), transfer pricing and related regulations in jurisdictions where the bank operates.

You will support development and management of the transfer pricing governance framework for all of Technology teams in the bank and work with partners like Legal, Tax, Compliance, Finance, and technology service teams.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Support the design and implementation of the transfer pricing governance framework.

Implement and embed IGA controls within different processes and procedures, regular assessment of the controls’ effectiveness across T&O service teams

Ensuring compliance with global regulations as well as work with partners like Legal, Tax, Compliance, Finance, and Technology service teams to address regulatory requirements for the RBC's global affiliates transfer pricing policies

Contribute and recommend development of target operating model regarding cross border regulations.

Work with teams to build RACI, tooling and system support data and operating model.

Work with T&O service teams and Finance to build service catalogues that are aligned with the end-to-end transfer pricing process.

Build and perform necessary reporting to meet regulatory and business requirements.

Supports monthly update with Senior Management on Transfer Pricing framework progress.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with the stakeholders and their delegates.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 Must have:

Demonstrated experience working with cross border legislation such as Regulation W requirements.

In depth knowledge of transfer pricing and financial concepts of charge backs between legal entities.

Excellent written and oral communication skills along with the ability to manage competing priorities involving cross-regional stakeholders.

Self-driven and proactive; able to meet consistently high-quality standards with simultaneous workstreams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., PowerPoint and Visio) and project management tools.

Nice-to-have: 

PMP, CSM, CPA, equivalent or project management / finance experience would be an asset.

Experience working in a in technology, financial services organization with cross border operations.
