Job overview and responsibilities
 

The Senior Manager - HR & Engagement Communications leads a team that creates thoughtful, engaging, clear communications about the employee experience. This role partners with senior leaders in HR to build and drive communications strategies related to HR programs, including talent management, benefits and rewards, travel, employee engagement, and self-service tools. This team supports communications planning and execution for other corporate groups as well. This is a Chicago-based, hybrid position that will require two days in office per week.

Lead and develop a team responsible for the creation and implementation of HR communication strategies and other departments that need communications supportProvide strategic communications plans counsel/support for top leaders and key subject matter expertsPlan and implement end-to-end campaigns that ensure HR policies, tools, resources and related communication and engagement are embedded into how we do businessCreate, edit, manage and publish relevant contentDesign a comprehensive strategic channel strategy that enables HR content to reach all employees in ways that work best for their environmentMonitor effectiveness of operational communications materials and channelsUse data to make strategic decisions about communicationsDevelop deep knowledge of M&A and leadership communications preferences to drive effectiveness for the whole teamSupport a team with their skill development and professional growthQualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor's degree7+ years of corporate communications experienceDemonstrated track record of managing successful, proactive and creative communications campaigns that use a variety of tools, forums and mediaSuperior business writing and editing skillsAbility to influence others and move toward a common vision/goalProven ability to create integrated communications plansAble to work effectively & efficiently in cross-functional teamsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):3+ years in project management1+ years leading peopleMarketing/communications trends - technology, approach, psychologyAbility to identify and leverage emerging technologies (ie. The base pay range for this role is $124,735.00 to $169,950.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
