Key Responsibilities:

The position will take leadership in donor engagement with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure diversification of funding and the growth of  World Vision Dominican Republic. Will guide the strategic for donors engagement  in close collaboration with other departments, Regional and Partnership offices, and will involve directly in the design of new projects to support the National Office Strategy.

The incumbent will lead the process of identifying funding opportunities (e.g., private sector, non-traditional donors)., creating, cultivating and growing relationships with a wide variety of donors and leading the process of writing winning proposals to resource National Office Strategy. The GAM Senior manager also identify new opportunities for products and work along the marketing unit to position these.

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILIDADES:

Lead the development an execution of the strategy of resource acquisition for the office in coordination with  the resource Director for Caribbean and building the qualified technical team.

Ensure the strategy and plan to  formulate fundraising proposals for different types of donors, aligned to the global and national strategy.

Participate with the Operations and external Engagement teams (technical advisors, marketing) in the development of technical products that can define winning quality proposals in the face of international cooperation.

Develop capacities in the diversified technical team in preparing high quality proposals for different types of GRANTS donors and National Tenders

Lead market intelligence actions and relations with donors according to their category and with OSs permanently.

Guarantee the report to VW leadership about the performace of donor’s acquisition strategy.

Represent the organization and guarantee fluid communication between corporate donors and World Vision in order to maintain active lines of cooperation.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEGDE AND CAPABILITIES Requirements:

Academic:

Bachelor's degree in administration, economics or other areas of social sciences related to the job description.

Specialty in international development cooperation.

Experience:

Technical knowledge and proven skills in project formulation based on different methodologies (Logical Framework, Results-Based Approach, Participatory Approach to the Logical Framework)

Technical Skills:

Ability to accompany multidisciplinary teams in discussion, reflection and analysis processes for the formulation of project proposals.

Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary work teams.

Knowledge of international donors and major foundations, their financing mechanisms and implementation rules.

High capacity for project design and use of the logical framework tool.

Oral and written communication techniques.

Ability to relate to diverse audiences.

Language and writing techniques.

Capacity for analysis and synthesis.

Systems thinking capacity.

Focus and orientation to results.

Fluent command of the English language (spoken and written)
