Senior Manager Financial and Regulatory Reporting - Global Finance

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager Financial and Regulatory Reporting.

Principal Responsibilities

Leading robust, timely and compliant preparation of all required submissions for the Hong Kong based legal entities (and the Macau Branch if any)The end-to-end management of statutory reporting across the HK insurance group, including Group reporting (IFRS), Local statutory reporting (HKFRS), and regulatory reporting (primarily to the Hong Kong Insurance Authority, the Bermudian Monetary Authority and the Monetary Authority of Macau). Tax returns and other similar reporting also falls within the remit of the team, supported by subject matter experts across HSBCLeading the preparation of all governance papers including to the entity Board (quarterly), Audit and Risk committees (quarterly), and Executive Committee (monthly), with all finance matters to be communicated in a clear and concise mannerRobustly reviewing current reporting practice and procedures, identifying areas for continuous improvement, and then facilitating change including working closely with the business (Investment, COO, Products and Distribution and other teams) where requiredLeading on the IFRS accounting changes as well as all regulatory and strategic business developments relevant to these entitiesWorking with the respective Investment and Strategy teams in a finance SME capacity to provide insight and analysis on Group investment / acquisition mandates, including the acquisition of property for the property portfolio and the acquisition / divestment of business interestsMaintain robust controls over all aspects of financial reporting (internal and external)Second line of defence over financial reporting; providing quality and documented challenge through HSBC’s ARCC control processes, while proactively managing instances where any first-line control failures impact financial regulatory reportingMaintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulatorsUnderstand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy
