Job Description

Seeking a strong Senior Finance Manager who will provide finance and business partnering leadership to executives within the Human Resources (HR) function. This highly visible role will lead a finance team of 3 members and will be responsible for the financial planning and actuals analysis for the HR function. In addition, this team member will provide valuable financial decision support via sophisticated analytics/modeling, identify and implement operational improvement opportunities/Practical Process Improvement (PPI), and continue to develop a strong finance team! Role reports to Sr. Director Finance, Corporate Functions.

What you will do:

Lead Annual Operating Plan (AOP) activitiesLead AOP/forecast vs. actual expense analysis on monthly & quarterly basis for Operating Expenses (OpEx) and Capital Expenses (CapEx)Lead Strategic Plan (STRAP) for Corporate HR functionDemonstrate ability to use complex data for problem solvingCommunicate effectively including standardized monthly reporting, and ad hoc reportingAnalyze financial and business performance against key metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, thus understanding progress against strategic business plansEvolve an already strong teamUnderstand and deploy the best tools and methods to effectively communicate complex data and topics; implement innovative tools/methods, as neededLead integration activities, as neededIdentify, communicate, and lead risks & opportunities review and discussion

Primary office in Waltham, MA, Pittsburg, PA, Wilmington, NC or other East Coast US locations

How you will get here:

Education

An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is requiredMasters degree strongly preferred

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of business and Finance experienceExperience in leading and developing a strong teamExperience effectively presenting to senior leadersProficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamicsPrior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

An ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and strong finance skills and accounting knowledgeProven understanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis) & PowerPoint; prior Hyperion planning (PLN 2.0) experience is strongly preferredProficient verbal and written communication skillsProven business partner and influencer
