To provide expert-level support and maintenance for key financial applications (IBM Cognos (TM1), PeopleSoft) ensuring seamless operations, data accuracy for financial reporting and user satisfaction. This involves delivering timely and professional support, issue resolution, knowledge sharing to enhance user proficiency, and addressing user inquiries.Responsible for maintaining global standards, governance, and control over finance applications. By driving innovation and managing change, this role enables efficient financial process management and supports informed decision-making for the CFO team.
Ultimately, the goal is to deliver high-quality support and expertise, ensuring the effective operation of critical finance systems and applications.
Job Description
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Finance applications management and business support:
Responsible for the ongoing management and administration of Finance Applications (e.g. IBM Cognos (TM1), PeopleSoft) including job scheduling, data validations, incident investigation and resolution, month end finance close, governance and knowledge management.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including finance teams, IT, and external vendors, to develop and implement innovative solutions that support financial reporting and application efficiencies.
Participate as SME in requirements gathering, prioritization and UAT pertaining to system and finance projects.
Investigation and resolution of complex system balance reconciliation issues as well as critical system issues.
Incident management, user support and communication:
Lead the end-to-end incident management process.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support user adoption and proficiency.
Prepare communication updates, broadcast communications related to system issues, maintenance, application uptime and performance.
Responsible for triaging and tracking support requests.
Audit, Control and Governance
Works with the Process Engineering team to drive quality improvement and business excellence.
Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure adherence to governance, policies, risk management and regulatory requirements cross all Finance Applications.
Reviews control failures and quality complaints and works with partners to investigate, resolve and determine long term lasting solutions.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in application support, with a focus on complex financial systems and technologies.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in financial applications (IBM Cognos, Oracle, PeopleSoft), databases, and operating systems.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem – solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast – paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong knowledge of the operational processes of finance applications (IBM Cognos, TM1, PeopleSoft)
Nice-to-have:
Certification in finance, accounting, or a related field (e.g., CPA, CMA, Masters).
Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Demonstrated technical skills in coding and programming language
