Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Finance Sr. Manager to lead financial consolidation processes and streamline finance-related data management. This role is critical to enhancing the efficiency of data consolidation, financial planning, and board-level presentations. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance and works closely with finance and executive teams ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in all financial data and reports. This enables tight alignment to overall strategy and vision of Leslie’s and the finance leadership and enables you to advocate the vision and direction in the organization.
As a key member of our Finance team, the Corporate Finance Sr. Manager will play a central role in simplifying processes and fostering collaboration across finance functions. Your work will contribute to making data more accessible, organized, and actionable for our teams as well as leading the corporate forecast cadences.
The role of Corporate Finance Sr. Manager within the organization will be responsible for leading teams, implementing strategies, and improving performance to achieve corporate objectives. As a key leader, you will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that aligns with Leslie’s vision and values.
Responsibilities:
Owner of corporate Forecasting processes for Multi-year Strategy Plan, Annual Operating Plan, Forecast Updates, inclusive of setting cadences, aggregating inputs from FP&A and other finance team members, creating tools to highlight challenge areas, aggregating risks and opportunities Lead the gathering, consolidation, and validation of financial data across business units, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all reporting. Owner of Financial Planning Tool (i.e., Adaptive, Essbase, OneStream) Prepare and consolidate information for monthly business reviews, quarterly board decks and executive presentations to enhance the clarity and effectiveness of our financial narratives. Drives Business outcomes and successes Identify, develop, and implement improvements to financial consolidation processes, with a focus on automating and standardizing to increase efficiency and reduce manual work. Collaborate with accounting, FP&A, and other finance teams to gather necessary data, align on reporting requirements, and streamline communication across departments. Coordinate with finance teams to produce timely and accurate financial statements, variance analyses, and support reports to help tell the financial story and guide action to meet the needs of internal stakeholders. Ensure all reports adhere to company standards and compliance requirements, maintaining data integrity and provide timely support during audits and reviews. Lead the implementation of strategies that drive performance to achieve corporate objectives. Lead and motivate a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Manage and support team members, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members appropriately, ensuring optimal team functionality. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful completion. Contribute to the development of corporate strategies and objectives aligned with Leslie’s overall mission, vision, and values.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. 7-10 years of varied Finance experience across Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A), Corporate Finance, Financial Consolidation, Accounting, or Financial Reporting within a corporate or public accounting environment. FP&A experience is required. Strong proficiency with financial systems and software (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Oracle); advanced Excel skills are essential. Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in managing large data sets. 4-6+ years of proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in a corporate environment within the retail or consumer goods industry. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify challenges, develop solutions, and make data-driven decisions. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with industry trends and best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience creating and presenting reports for senior leadership and effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
