**Job Description:**
**We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Site Facilities Manager in IMSC Geel (Belgium, Antwerp region).**
At the J&J Innovative Medicine Manufacturing (IMSC) site Geel a team of 700+ employees is responsible for the manufacturing of API’s and IPI’s for the commercial and clinical innovative product portfolio of J&J IM. Delivering these products safely, with high quality on time and competitive for patients worldwide. Supported NTS is about 12B$.
The Geel site Facilities manager will sit on the site leadership team and partner with all members, the General Manager and the Belgium FM organization to ensure our Global Facilities Management strategy is implemented effectively, and maintenance and soft services are performed to the required standards. Additionally, as the successful candidate you will play a key part in the site’s transformational change as a launch and growth site for critical products within the J&J portfolio.
The candidate for this role will support the Geel site while being part of the broader Sub regional (Belgium) Facilities team. As such he/she will maintain an active link between the E&PS center of excellence and the site.
**ROLE OVERVIEW**
This role ensures the consistent Safe & GXP compliant delivery of all facility related functions, including facility maintenance operations, infrastructure management, workplace experience, space management, efficient delivery of site services, maintenance and utilities operations, project delivery and energy management by applying an effective balance of internal employees and service providers.
The role sits on the Site Leadership Team (SLT) at IMSC Geel, having responsibility for the facilities function, while contributing to the successful leadership of the site. As a peer on the Facilities Management Sub regional team (BEL), the role will work closely with their peers in the sub region to align the site with and achieve the sub regional team goals.
The incumbent needs the technical ability to deliver on this role, combined with leadership ability to work effectively with many peers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will also lead the FM organization to become a high performing team.
**Responsibilities**
**Facilities Management - Technical Aspect of Role**
+ Ensure safety and GXP compliance is at the forefront of everything we do within the Facilities Management organization
+ Mentor / lead a team of managers, engineers, planners, specialists, technicians and contractors who act all together as a team responsible for ensuring the 24/7 continuous operational readiness of our sites.
+ Lead an efficient Utilities/Asset/site Maintenance Program to sustain targeted equipment availability.
+ Responsible for implementing business continuity plans, GXP initiatives, energy/sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure management programs to support strategic facilities planning in support of Engineering and Property Services (E&PS) and Site Leadership.
+ Develop/ Maintain relevant Critical metrics for Facilities and report progress and plans to the site and global leadership teams.
+ Assure accurate documentation of records for facilities department activities.
+ Ensure high standards of safety and environmental processes and systems in relation to work preparation, execution and control for internal and external teams.
+ Establish budget and accurate spending projections, lead within capital and operating resources and have ability to identify significant OPEX and capital spend requirements during Budget preparation.
**Team Leadership:**
+ Lead a team of 24 permanent staff.
+ Provide leadership and mentor the professional and personal development of reports by providing performance feedback, establishing clear goals and objectives.
+ Building strong productive working relationships within the Facilities Management function, so that it operates as a strong cohesive team.
+ Manage contractors on site, by communicating and collaborating with key contractors for service delivery, repairs & maintenance and agreements for the facility and grounds.
**Site Leadership Team and Facilities Sub Regional Team**
+ Represents the Facilities function on the SLT, while contributing to the successful running of the whole site as a strong member of the SLT.
+ Build strong business relationships with key stakeholders across the site functions, ensuring that the site Facilities Management goals are met while fully supporting the site and Business unit goals.
+ Build strong working relationships with peers in the sub region, ensuring that the site Facilities goals are aligned with the sub regional team goals.
+ Partake in and lead matrix teams.
**Qualification and Experience**
**Essential:**
+ MSC or BSC (with equivalent years of experience) in Engineering, Facility management or a related discipline.
+ A comprehensive understanding and experience of facilities maintenance, with the technical ability to operate as an Engineering Manager.
+ Strong passion for people leadership and development, with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with, influence and partner with colleagues throughout the Manufacturing Operation as a Strategic Business Partner.
+ Experience of working in a Regulated (FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001) Manufacturing environment including having experience of working in a SEVESO site.
+ Experience leading teams through change and dealing with organizational transformation
+ Clear understanding of J&J Credo Values.
+ 5 – 8 years’ experience at Site Leadership Level in Facilities / Engineering role.

As this is a senior and critical appointment for Johnson & Johnson Geel, competitive compensation will be offered to the preferred candidate.
