**Description**
**Senior Manager, Digital Onboard Experience**
As the Senior Manager of Digital Onboard Experience, you will lead the solutioning and implementation of innovative, customer-focused digital technologies that elevate the inflight experience—spanning streaming, gaming, and other inflight entertainment services.
In this role, you’ll be accountable for the ongoing design, development, and integration of digital products that support United’s onboard experience strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders—including product, UX, engineering, vendors, and airline operations—to ensure solutions align with both evolving customer expectations and business objectives.
A core aspect of your responsibilities will involve providing hands-on leadership in developing scalable, high-performance applications, with a focus on both front-end experiences and service-layer architecture. Expertise in cloud computing, media streaming, and caching technologies is critical to success in this position. You’ll drive technical direction, make key architectural decisions, and guide your team through complex challenges while maintaining a strong emphasis on innovation, quality, and performance.
Beyond technical leadership, the role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to foster strong partnerships across the organization—including with finance, customer experience, digital operations, and third-party vendors—to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with broader company goals.

**Leadership and Team Management**
· Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, encouraging a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
· Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the successful execution of programs, resource management, and day-to-day operations
· Establish goals for the team and individuals, including performance reviews and career and performance plans
· Plan for short and long-term resource needs (internally and externally) to ensure the right number of resources and skills are available to meet project goals and deadlines
**Communication and Customer Management**
· Engage, collaborate, and partner with technical and business collaborators to understand business requirements and user expectations and lead the development of solutions that meet functional and technical requirements
· Collaborate with business and IT leadership teams and product subject matter experts to establish the product's long-term vision, goals, and strategy. Develop multi-year product development strategies and tactical plans. Share knowledge and work together to generate innovative solutions to problems
· Align with business partners on delivery success criteria and ensure technology solutions follow architectural standards. Provide delivery estimates and case updates to support overall IT performance metrics, monthly project status reporting, and quarterly resource planning review
**Budgeting and Resource Management**
· Develop and lead the program budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation to support pivotal initiatives and operational needs
· Track and report on key performance metrics, making data-driving decisions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
· Strategic IT Planning and Execution
· Evaluate, implement, and handle SaaS-based solutions and develop in-house cloud-based solutions
· Identify technical obstacles early and collaborate closely with the team to find innovative solutions. Responsible for advancing, assisting, and following up on resolving issues related to the delivery of technology solutions
· Ensure that Agile methodologies are implemented following standard processes and that continuous improvements are made as needed. Also, ensure compliance with code scanning and other security protocols during development and release.

**Required**
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field
· 7+ years of relevant
· Minimum of 12 months of leadership experience managing multiple large-scale, cross-functional technology teams, preferably within digital product or customer experience domains· Proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing IT teams with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
· Hands-on experience with key technologies including .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, ReactJS, Android OS, App dev and AWS cloud platforms
· Demonstrated success in delivering SaaS-based solutions or building scalable applications using modern cloud architectures, with a focus on media streaming and caching strategies
· Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams
· In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, quality assurance processes, and project management best practices
· Familiarity with Agile development and product delivery frameworks, with a proven ability to manage requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Understanding of system architecture principles, including the ability to design scalable and reliable solutions
3+ years of Application development (.Net, Java, or other modern language)
The base pay range for this role is $137,275.00 to $187,000.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
