We are looking for a strategic, experienced individual for the role of Business Architecture Sr Manager, responsible for collaborating across business units, enterprise data & technology teams to activate our Enterprise Business Capability (EBC) model in order to consistently and more effectively realize our business strategies. As a **Business Architecture Sr Manager** , you will be part of a highly visible, strategic team focused on creating a common enterprise business language and ecosystem to integrate and connect the key components of our business leading to reduced costs, risks & complexity and increased alignment, speed & agility. The Business Architecture team is responsible for delivering a cross-Enterprise Business Capability blueprint that provides a common understanding of the business and transparency to the various components that enable our business capabilities in order to effectively prioritize, modernize and govern enterprise-based solutions, services, and experiences. **Functional Responsibilities:** + Be the Subject Matter Expert for how business architecture methodology and disciplines can drive overall value for the business. + Expand and promote the Enterprise Business Capability (EBC) Framework as the common language of “what” American Express does to create desired business outcomes and experiences. + Drive & facilitate the right discussions with business leaders to identify business capabilities, user journeys, and e2e values streams related to current and future business objectives. + Create and maintain business capability, user journey, and value stream inventories and related ecosystem components (e.g., people, process, information, technology). + Consult with Business Capability owners and key stakeholders on leveraging the American Express EBC framework to deliver value in the form of strategic realization & prioritization, transformation & solutioning, risk & compliance, etc. + Lead, build, manage, and enhance the EBC Model along an enterprise mindset to drive maturity, optimization, & simplification of the American Express business model. + Operationalize & drive the adoption of business architecture tools for connecting, discovering, and visualizing the enabling components that work together to enable business capabilities. + Influence and collaborate with data and technology teams to incorporate business architecture principles and design patterns to increase consistency and operability across the enterprise. + Determine strategic roadmaps to build and extend business capabilities. **Competencies:** + Expertise in Enterprise Business Capability, Business Architecture, Process Excellence disciplines + Business thinking, enterprise mindset, and highly strategic thinker + Self-starter with high motivation and passion, ability to adapt to change + Strong leadership, confidence, communication, and influencing skills + Strong facilitation skills, consulting type skillset + Excellent abstract thinking skills, ability to quickly switch b/t conceptual, logical, and physical views + High level of executive presence + Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal skills **Qualifications:** + 5 years experience in performing responsibilities of business architecture, enterprise business capability management, business process modeling or related field + 3 years as lead business architect preferred + Solid understanding of business architecture concepts and best practices with the ability to be an advocate for leveraging enterprise business capability framework to deliver business value + 3 years working with business architecture related tools + Large enterprise experience preferred **Qualifications** Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
