Also they do preventive work to avoid future overdues with accounts that have a high exposure. The Global Commercial Services (GCS) division of American Express is the global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space. Through a collaborative partnership with the Enterprise Chief Data Office, CoDO aims to unlock new data opportunities, ensure best-in-class data operations, and maximize growth and retention by supporting product, marketing, and segment strategies. The Commercial Data Quality & Issue Management (DQIM) team drives a robust line of defense for GCS by advising partners on how to balance business growth with appropriate controls. On behalf of our high-profile customers and programs, we serve as the end-to-end process owner, leading cross-functional teams, and projects to remediate data issues, drive policy, and optimize process. We are seeking a driven, strategic, and innovative professional to fill our Sr Manager position in Commercial Data Quality & Issue Management (DQIM). This individual will be responsible for supporting global regulatory and compliance programs for the business unit. This role will reports to the Director, DQIM, Commercial Data Office. **Your Primary Responsibilities may include:** + Understand business objectives, convert it to data requirements & technical needs and get it implemented by technology. + Understanding of the various regulatory requirements and its impact on AXP is preferred. + Partner with legal, compliance and operational excellence and GCS data governance + Analyze and interpret financial data to ensure compliance with banking regulations. + Monitor and review regulatory changes to ensure compliance for the solutions developed. + Partner and align with business partners’ issues with data and reports to understand data quality issues and provide solutions and alternatives that meet customer requirements and project deliverables. + Own end to end execution of key data quality measures and reporting + Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with peers, architects, system analysts, project managers & others, reporting project status as required. **Qualifications may include:** + Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of direct work experience in Data Governance, Quality, Metadata Management + Prior experience in lending, financial services or hi-tech domains preferred + Ability to manage technical, regulatory as well as communication complexity in large multi-workstream initiatives + Proven track record of understanding business challenges and strategies and connecting those to data and capabilities + Strong working knowledge of current and upcoming data governance, data management and data product techniques and trends, with a point of view on the evolving concepts and best practices + Program management experience, with stakeholders across a diverse, global set of business units + Demonstrable experience of driving meaningful improvements in business value through data management and strategy + Ability to work with white space to design and execute solutions to solve complex challenges + Strong communication skills, both in terms of preparing and delivering a strategic vision and updates + Ability to put enterprise thinking first, connect the role’s agenda to enterprise priorities and balance the needs of customers, partners, colleagues & shareholders. + Demonstrated learning agility, ability to make decisions quickly and with the highest level of integrity + Willingness to test, learn, fail and improve is critical + Must have a positive, collaborative leadership style with colleague and customer first mindset **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge and experience with MDM and DG tools suites and application is a plus **Qualifications** Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
