Senior Manager Corporate Communications
As Sr. Manager Corporate communications, you will lead and execute high-impact communication strategies in a complex regulatory environment.
This role is instrumental in shaping public discourse, managing stakeholder relations, and supporting the company’s transformation toward a smoke-free future with strong understanding of EU and national regulatory frameworks, particularly in taxation and public policy, and will be adept at navigating sensitive topics with clarity, confidence, and credibility.
Position will act as spokesperson.

2. Stakeholder & Media Engagement
Further enhance our existing media network with new relationships built across various Slovak media houses, including TV and radioIdentify and tap into partnership opportunities with the Fifth Estate (e.g. influential policy-oriented bloggers, YouTube content creators) Serve as a key spokesperson and relationship builder with media, civil society, and institutional stakeholders. Proactively manage public perception through earned media, events, and advocacy campaigns that support a smoke-free future and balanced regulation.Manage crisis communication and reputation risk, especially in response to regulatory shifts or public scrutiny.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (External Affairs, Legal, Commercial) to align messaging and advocacy efforts.3. Regulatory & Advocacy Communications
Monitor and analyze political and regulatory environment and developments affecting the business.Design and implement communication initiatives that shift public and policymakers' opinion, leveraging data-driven narratives, third-party voices, and targeted outreach through both off-line and online channels.4. Internal Engagement, Team Leadership & Governance
Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring effective collaboration across departments and with external partners (including management of PR agency).Measure and report the effectiveness of communications campaigns and initiatives.
Requirements:
Education: Master’s Degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in one of the following fields: Communications or Corporate Communications or Public Relations or Political Science or International Relations or Journalism or Law or Public Affairs or Public Policy or Marketing (with a strong focus on strategic or corporate communications)Additional Educational Assets (Preferred but Not Mandatory):Specialized training or certification as Crisis Communication, Digital Media Strategy, Stakeholder Engagement, EU Public Affairs or Regulatory Affairs, Executive education (e.g., from institutions like INSEAD, LSE, or Harvard Kennedy School) in leadership, advocacy, or strategic communication is a plus.Working experience: 8–10+ years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or media relations—ideally in a regulated industry or multinational environment.Strategic & Analytical Skills, Communication & Advocacy Expertise, Leadership & Collaboration,Media & Public Relations, Digital & Content Strategy, Regulatory & Policy Acumen,Resilience & Adaptability
