Senior Manager - Continuous Improvement and Excellence

Role Purpose Drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across the organization by implementing best management practices and addressing systemic issues. Transfer knowledge on excellence practices common to high-performing organizations, ensuring successful integration within the company. Foster systematic improvements in operational excellence to create efficient value streams. Collaborate with various sectors to enhance overall organizational performance. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES Establish Excellence Programs: Develop and implement excellence programs aligned with international standards and NEOM’s Excellence RoadMap. Standard Development: Supervise the creation of excellence standards for services and products, establishing mechanisms for their application. Award Candidacy Management: Prepare and oversee the candidacy map for local, regional, and international awards, supervising the nomination process. Internal Awards Creation: Design and implement internal awards to recognize employee excellence and contributions. Training and Development: Organize certified excellence training sessions and awareness campaigns to educate employees on excellence principles. Gap Assessment Participation: Engage in gap assessment sessions, including planning, conducting assessments, analyzing reports, and prioritizing development projects. Excellence Assessment Facilitation: Participate in excellence assessments, preparing documentation, conducting training, and presenting NEOM’s excellence efforts. Benchmarking Projects: Conduct benchmarking initiatives to learn from successful organizations globally, fostering networking opportunities. Continuous Learning: Attend webinars and seminars related to excellence to stay updated on industry best practices. Documenting Policies and Practices: Create and maintain documentation on excellence policies, procedures, and lessons learned to ensure knowledge retention. External Representation: Represent NEOM at external excellence meetings and conferences, promoting our initiatives and practices. Best Practices Documentation: Identify and document best management practices from leading global excellence models validated at the global level. BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Lean Expertise: Mastery in Lean tools and methodologies, including PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and RADAR, to lead excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. Innovative Thinking: Ability to challenge conventional wisdom effectively and stimulate management thinking through demonstrated lean applications. Problem Solving: Strong expertise in problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions. Lean Enterprise Knowledge: Proficient in identifying value-added elements and activities, with practical knowledge of Six Sigma Lean tools. Organizational Skills: Highly organized and disciplined, capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks under pressure. Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of construction methods and techniques. Project Management: Results-oriented with excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills in a team-oriented environment. Interpersonal Skills: Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels. Data Analysis Competence: Proficient in collecting, analyzing data, and developing actionable conclusions and recommendations. Cost Reduction Innovation: Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to reduce costs and challenge the status quo. Experience Proven Background: 10+ years of experience in driving Quality Excellence and Continuous Improvement, including international experience in quality management and leading process improvement projects. Leadership in Implementation: Extensive experience leading the implementation of excellence and continuous improvement projects. Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field, with experience in excellence-related activities and a lean culture. Professional Certifications: Certification in Global Excellence Model (EFQM preferred) and Project Management discipline is advantageous.
