Position Overview:
The Senior Manager Clinical Sales Effectiveness is responsible for developing, maintaining, and iterating clinical training programs to drive treatment revenue, console expansions, and best-in-class clinical acumen. This position will partner with Clinical Sales Managers, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and relevant SMEs to align clinical selling behaviors with established business priorities. This role will work closely with both new hires and tenured clinical specialists to drive efficacy and standardization of customer training workshops and general clinical acumen. This individual will be adept at facilitating training classes, developing training sessions, and partnering with key stakeholders to identify gaps and iterate programs to efficiently onboard and develop clinical team members.
The ideal candidate should have dedicated experience in a sales training capacity: training clinical sales representatives that sell, implement, and support capital equipment medical device programs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Responsible for program ownership, to include processes, metrics and tracking, and curriculum development including but not limited to: Clinical training programs across the care continuum (Home, Post Acute, Acute) and Clinical Continued Education Develops facilitates, maintains, and iterates the Clinical SET, Advanced SET, and Train the Trainer new hire programs Aligns with key internal partners including Clinical Sales Managers, Medical Affairs, and other SMEs to create internal feedback loops and identify outstanding training gaps Leads and leverages and the Clinical FSTs to assist in projects to drive treatment revenue and increase clinical and sales acumen with the team Ensures effective onboarding activity completion, successful application of knowledge, and provides actionable insights to internal stakeholders Drives adoption of Outset’s Sales Process within the clinical team Leads development, refinement and iterations of clinical training content as needed Shadows clinical sales teams, clinical sales leaders, and customers to evaluate current training effectiveness and standardization Completes standardized field rides to gain continuous insight into current behaviors vs desired state Leverages data to assesses clinical tools and provide actionable insight into refinement Collects and disseminates best practices Assists in refining and training the field to key performance indicators for Clinical Specialists Executes and directs clinical competency checks Acts as an advocate/sponsor for the Clinical Sales Manager team to Sales Leadership Develops clinical session content for National Sales Meetings
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree 5-7 years previous relevant work experience within Medical Device Excellent communication skills, oral and written. The ability to present to various levels and sizes of groups within and outside of the organization. Proven managerial skills and the ability to work effectively with and through others especially under project and meeting deadlines. Well-developed planning and project management skills. Strong analytical skills and a good working knowledge of sales and marketing plans Track record of successful clinical and/or sales training Must be creative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, strategic, and organized Must work well and thrive in a fast-paced environment Experienced in working with people with diverse backgrounds Displays impeccable written, speaking and reading abilities Must have excellent computer skills and is able to work in Microsoft Office Travel is a requirement of this position and estimated to be between 25%-35%
