Senior Manager-Business Development - Ft Benning
**Job Description** BAE Systems is hiring a Senior Manager Business Development Fort Benning who will serve as the main customer relations point of contact in support of the company s U.S. Army combat vehicle portfolio. Responsibilities: + Serve as the overall BAE Systems customer representative and regional lead for the Columbus, GA/Fort Benning area in support of the company s combat vehicle portfolio + Support growth of the opportunity pipeline, to include extending and expanding our current portfolios + Support the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans for the pursuit and successful capture of key opportunities within the US Army Combat Vehicle portfolio + Maintain close customer relationships, understanding their needs and shaping customer requirements + Participate in and lead when appropriate marketing efforts including trade shows and representation during sponsored events in order to promote the company and the Combat Vehicle portfolio + Provide support to the Director of Business Development for Combat Vehicles and work as part of a geographically dispersed team in support of the business and the US Army + Must be in Columbus Georgia area **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor s Degree and 10 years of experience or equivalent experience + Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one + Experience in Business Development in Defense or Government Contracting + Experience with the US Army, Defense (DoD), and/or defense industry + Excellent networking skills with a proven ability to build successful, long-term customer relationships + Proven ability to operate effectively in ad hoc teams and groups + The ability to clearly and simply articulate compelling business opportunities both written and verbal + Excellent communication (both oral and written) and listening skills, orientation to details, and the ability to make informed decisions + Excellent research, analytical, and negotiating skills + A self-started, able to work independently as well as lead projects when called upon + A creative problem solver + Willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure + Experience with the US Army or prior service **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Graduate Degree in Technical/Business Administration a plus + Professional Certifications a plus + Active Secret Security Clearance a plus + Experience in Business Development within the Science or Technology community a plus **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
