The candidate is responsible for conducting technology audits (IT processes, application, project, integrated, and annual SOX audits) and technology advisory engagements. Maintaining complete independence, the Audit & Advisory Services function collaborates with technology and risk management teams, providing senior management and the board with insights to enhance risk management at Manulife.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and participate in multiple technology audit and advisory engagements, adapting to changing scopes, timelines, and resources in a complex technology environment.
+ Independently assess the technology control environment, offering timely recommendations to management to reduce risk and improve strategic and operational decisions.
+ Manage relationships with technology stakeholders, internal governance groups, external auditors, and regulators.
+ Lead audit and advisory engagements in the Asia segment and collaborate with North American audit teams on global audits.
+ Plan and execute technology audits and advisory engagements, evaluating key controls and risk management practices, and producing reports that clearly articulate risks, issues, and recommendations.
+ Perform integrated audits with other groups in Audit & Advisory Services to provide comprehensive risk reporting.
+ Manage additional activities including external audits, regulator inspections, annual technology audit planning, and risk assessment, partnering with business audit teams for audit committee reporting.
+ Undertake special work as determined by department priorities.
+ Requires travel within Asia and occasional night calls with North America.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related discipline.
+ Minimum 6 years of experience in Technology Audit & Advisory, Information Risk Management, Process Improvement & Consulting, or Analytics.
+ Recognized professional auditing or technology designations (CISA, CIA, CPA, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CEH, CHFI, etc.).
+ Strong knowledge of the latest technologies in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), DevSecOps, Application Security, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation.
+ Business knowledge of the insurance and wealth & asset management industry.
+ Strong business judgment in assessing issues and developing value-added recommendations.
+ Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerBI. Python skill is a plus.
+ Advantage with in-house financial institutions’ technology audit, application development, and technology security experience; previous Big-4 experience.
+ Proficient in reporting writing and communication skills.
+ Results-oriented, able to balance multiple priorities and projects.
