Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive. **Your new role...** The **Manager Audio Engineering** **GSA (Germany, Swiss, Austria)** is responsible for managing all aspects of the GSA audio department in a professional LIVE sports production setting. He is in charge of managing staff, overseeing the entire IP based and legacy audio and communication equipment configuration, operations and maintenance and is joining global working groups as subject matter expert developing new technology and processes to improve the quality of LIVE sports productions for the entire GSA region. The position requires long term experience in the field of (remote and traditional) live production of sports events. The position is based in Munich and involves a 40 hour week from Monday to Sunday as well as being on call 7 days a week. Furthermore, this position requires regular work in the Munich production facilities on the occasion of live productions. **Your** **Accountabilities...** + Lead of the GSA permanent and freelance audio engineering and operations team. + Preparation, configuration and maintenance of the entire IP based and legacy audio and communication infrastructure and systems in the GSA LIVE studio, playout, audiomix and post-production facilities. + Support of global Warner Bros. Discovery optimization projects as subject matter expert in the entire field of state of the art live and non-live audio technology and operations. + Further development of existing systems as well as the integration and configuration of new components. + Liaise closely with the local GSA business clients and internal/external engineering and operations teams and derive the planning and managing of complex IP based and legacy audio and video end-to-end processes and workflows for big LIVE sports productions. + Work sporadically for big LIVE sports productions as a Supervisor in Audio Engineering and as well even operationally as an Audio Engineer in the sound control room’s. + Fault find and coordination of the maintenance of all audio broadcast and IP equipment in the local production facilities. + Ongoing Supervision and training of all GSA freelance and WBD Audio Engineers and Technicians. **Qualifications & Experience…** + BSc/BA degree (Broadcast Engineering or Media Technology) or comparable professional qualification paired with long-term working experience in the area broadcast production, operations and play out of live sports events. + Experience and understanding of cloud broadcasting, remote and traditional production and the associated processes for producing live sports events. + Up to date knowledge regarding UHD and HD Video-/Audio Broadcast formats and the principles of its transmission and file encoding formats including file transfer mechanisms. + Demonstrable knowledge of current baseband and IP broadcast audio equipment such as audio mixers (Lawo), wireless studio microphones and in-ears, radios, communication systems (Riedel), audio servers, sound effect systems and audio editing (Pro Tools). + Familiar with relevant software such as: network control systems (ATOS BNCS, data miner) and scheduling software (XYtech media pulse). + Network and IP infrastructure knowledge including a good understanding of the latest IP standards (AES67 and Dante). + Proven project management experience and knowledge. + Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, ability to communicate clearly and to effectively prioritise and execute tasks to meet timelines. + Excellent **English** and **German** communication in spoken and written is a must. + Willingness to travel within EMEA. **N** **ext steps:** Please submit your CV in English.
