About the Role
As FinOps Analyst, the role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, visualizing, and optimizing IT costs and utilization for cloud, platform, commercial software, DevSecOps product and solutions. The role will be following tasks on integrating IT and business, enabling cost transparency, showback, and chargeback to support near-term and long-term planning and financial projections.Roles and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with IT teams (Group and Local) to identify elements of total cost and measures of utilization.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on costs and utilization across products, cloud providers, and classification levels.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track expenditures and utilization.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Analyze variances between actual spend and budgeted amounts, providing insights and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to ensure accurate financial planning.
• Identify opportunities for automation in FinOps to improve efficiency.
• Work with IT teams to automate cost management and reporting.
• Continuously explore new tools and technologies that can enhance FinOps capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a FinOps, cloud financial management, or similar role.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Ali Cloud, Tencent Cloud) and their cost management tools (e.g. Azure Cost Management).
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and metrics.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Expertise in Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Understanding of cloud economics and pricing models.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Experience
• 10+ years of software development, engineering or DevOps experience.
• Strong experience in modern DevOps technology stack is a must.
• Strong experience in container technologies.
• Strong experience in agile methodologies and working in agile teams.
Non-Technical Skills
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to be organized and multi-tasked on different requirements across various stakeholders, and to work independently and under pressure.
• Good track record of communicating effectively with both business and IT staff at all levels.
