American Express is on a multi-year journey to enhance our focus on Privacy compliance as well as Customer data handling and transparency. As part of this journey, EDMP is establishing a global, Enterprise Privacy Center of Excellence (EPCE). The Senior Manager, Privacy Standards & Training will sit within the newly formed EPCE and define and execute standards, procedures, training, and best practices across the enterprise to enable privacy-compliant business outcomes. **Primary Responsibilities** + Collaborate and engage with diverse set of stakeholders to identify what is required by region for privacy compliance (Global Privacy Office, Information Security, General Counsel's Organization, and key business partners) + Work with business teams, product owners, and technology to enable privacy compliance, and codify this in applicable standards and/or procedures + Collaborate with colleagues in the Enterprise Privacy Center of Excellence to define controls, metrics, and reporting for all Privacy standards and procedures + Socialize standards and procedures changes, as well as define and enable ongoing refresh program + Identify best practices for standards, procedures, and training to drive enterprise continuity where ownership may be business unit or region specific + Communicate training for all standards and procedures, including specialized training for specific audiences based on applicability, as well as socialization and ensured completion of requisite trainings + Collaborate with Enterprise Data Management, Information Security, and Third-Party Lifecycle management teams to ensure that Privacy standards and procedures adequately reflect collaboration and adequately define roles, responsibilities, and requirements across teams + Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for ‘how’ privacy compliance is achieved at American Express **Qualifications:** + 5 years prior experience developing and implementing data management practices for data privacy, with a strong strategic approach + Experience with developing and implementing policies, standards, procedures, and training across an enterprise or local level for a financial services company + Strong knowledge of and experience with implementing requirements of privacy laws and regulations + Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment often with significant ambiguity and needing to make decisions with less than perfect information + High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability, and resiliency + Strong relationship leadership with a track record of positively collaborating, influencing, and extensively coordinating with internal and external partners, including senior leaders + Excellent communication skills to synthesize key messages, prepare impactful materials, and tailor appropriately for the audience. Ability to create presentation decks and materials to communicate at senior levels concisely, clearly, and consistently + Proven ability to manage multiple demands successfully within a matrixed organization + Team player comfortable working collaboratively to resolve challenges in a demanding environment + Enjoys solving large and complicated problems + Ability to maintain a positive demeanor and ‘can-do’ attitude + Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field **Qualifications** Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
