Introduction to role:
Join us as a Senior Manager: S/4HANA Tax Solution Design & Deployment, where you will be responsible for integrating Tax processes and technologies (e.g. Tax Determination, Tax Calculation and Tax Compliance solutions) into local business process, supporting the Enterprise Process Architect, Tax. This role is an outstanding opportunity to ensure that opportunities for integrated process enhancement and modernisation are delivered and that the overall process and technology design meets business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Accountabilities:
Lead the integration and localisation of the Tax Determination, Calculation and/or Compliance automation solutions into core business and finance processes, including within S/4HANA and related systems. Designing and building tax integration processes to sit within other business process area’s global template designs to continue AZ’s journey of enhancing Tax processes and allowing adoption of a ‘right first time’ approach to Taxes within AZ. You will understand the transformation opportunities S/4HANA (and supporting technologies) can provide and bring this to bear throughout the design. You will work across all Enterprise Process areas with key partners to integrate best-in-class Indirect Tax solutions into their business areas and to ensure that impacted S/4HANA users are trained to operate Tax solutions within their overall new processes.
Contribute to the design and definition operational tax processes that will be embedded across business areas focussing on processes that operate financial and logistical processes within S/4HANA (and non-core S/4HANA systems) to ensure appropriate operation and data usage to enable calculation of Indirect Taxes. Act as a source of knowledge for Tax process integration and inclusion of Tax automation systems, defining and presenting current and future business improvement needs and opportunities.
Provide expertise with regards to Tax touchpoints throughout AZ’s business and process design for Tax and support the Enterprise Process Architect, Tax. Ensuring that the processes maximise opportunities for improvements and covers all areas for a successful transition to future state.
Develop key Tax global process design activities that will generate the golden template; scope definition, identification of the standard process and identify wider business processes that will integrate with those processes.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in relevant fieldPrevious experience with system driven S4HANA Tax, Tax automation solutions and/or Tax EnginesUnderstanding of Tax process integration areas within business processes relating to at least one of: Indirect Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Customs Duties and/or Operational Transfer PricingSignificant experience in Business ImprovementAt AstraZeneca, we are one purpose-led global organisation.
