Job Description
The Senior Manager, Travel & Expense (T&E) will support the Director of Global T&E in managing the operations, compliance, and service delivery of Versant’s global T&E function. This role plays a key part in ensuring Oversight, Development and Management of the Global Commercial Card Program (including Corporate Cards, P-Card, Central Travel Accounts (CTA), and Virtual Card Programs) including contracting, card issuance, card payment, and rebate collection and optimization. The role will also ensure that employees are supported through an efficient, policy-compliant travel and expense process. The Senior Manager will oversee daily operations, administer T&E tools and programs, coordinate with external commercial providers and related vendors, as well as internal stakeholders, helping to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the function.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery
+ Oversee the execution of end-to-end CitiBank Commercial Card program management, administration and processes for Versant’s travel card, p-card, CTA card, department/SPA card, and virtual card programs including card issuance, program maintenance, expense processing, auditing, payments and employee reimbursements where necessary.
+ Serve as back up day-to-day liaison with vendors including BCD Travel, Concur and Citi, and coordinate activities with shared services teams and regional finance leads.
+ Support and maintain T&E Concur system for Expense and P-card
+ Ensure accurate and timely resolution of employee inquiries, policy exceptions, and reimbursement issues.
+ Support system and process integration across Concur, SAP, and payroll in alignment with the Director and broader Accounting Ops team.
+ Manage Card Support Services team.
+ Partner with HR, Internal Audit, Legal, Sourcing, IT, and Tax teams.
+ Engage peer leaders in Travel as necessary to resolve issues, lead discussions and share knowledge and consult on issues related to commercial cards.
+ Develop and update all Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) related to commercial card programs and management reporting.
+ Manage card related projects that enhance and/or expand the global programs including technology initiative and continuous improvements intended to drive value, deliver cost savings, and enable process efficiencies.
Standards and Controls
+ Enforce company related T&E and Procurement Card policies, supporting updates as needed based on compliance trends and stakeholder feedback.
+ Monitor audit findings, escalate policy violations, and track resolution of exception cases.
+ Assist in managing internal controls, including card limits, misuse, fraud, audit coverage, and exception workflows.
Performance
+ Monitor and report on key operational metrics such as report cycle times, policy compliance rates, and exception volumes.
+ Support vendor performance reviews and internal service level tracking.
+ Identify and implement process enhancements in partnership with shared services and technology teams.
People
+ Manage and mentor junior team members and BPO contacts responsible for commercial card activities.
+ Provide guidance and training to employees and business units on commercial card processes and policy compliance.
+ Support change management efforts during system rollouts or process changes.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
+ 6+ years of experience in Commercial Card Administration, Program Management, and Card Expense operations or related finance areas; media or multinational company experience preferred.
+ Working knowledge of Concur, SAP, and corporate card programs (Citi preferred).
+ Familiarity with related audit and compliance processes, global reimbursement practices, and expense accounting.
+ Experience working in a shared services or outsourced operations model is a plus.
+ Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge & Skills
+ Proficiency in Trave Management and Expense systems (Concur, SAP) and card administration tools.
+ Solid understanding of Travel / Procurement Card policies and internal controls.
+ Ability to interpret reports and KPIs to drive operational improvements.
+ Skilled at managing cross-functional relationships and vendor coordination.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.
