We are seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team to assist in reviewing, thinking, and planning around new global developments in transfer pricing. The Senior Manager – Transfer Pricing will report to the Director – Transfer Pricing and be a member of a worldwide finance team that strives to be best-in-class.
Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end operationalization of transfer pricing policies, including intercompany charges and cost allocations
Partner with FP&A, Controllership, Legal, and the Business to ensure accurate and timely implementation of Autodesk's transfer pricing policies
Design and implement scalable processes and systems to support transfer pricing compliance and reporting. Assist in driving tax digitalization/automation of the transfer pricing function
Lead the development of data models and dashboards to monitor transfer pricing outcomes and ensure alignment with Autodesk's transfer pricing policies
Drive the legal entity forecasting process working with regional and corporate finance teams
Assist in thinking about future planning opportunities involving transfer pricing and the Company's operating profile
Contribute to the refinement of global transfer pricing policies in response to evolving business models, regulatory changes, and BEPS initiatives
Review and model potential changes in global income tax laws to understand impacts to the Company
Prepare financials and financial analyses to be incorporated within Autodesk's global transfer pricing documentation
Quarterly transfer pricing reviews / risk assessments in support of the tax provision process and compliance with SOX. Ensure that Company SOX procedures are followed and documented for purposes of annual and interim reporting
Support global tax audits and inquiries by preparing and reviewing audit defense memos and documentation, and preparing data analyses as needed
Support M&A, including preparing IP and legal entity valuations, preparing/reviewing intercompany transactions, and implementation in post-acquisition business integration
Educate internal stakeholders on transfer pricing principles and ensure adherence to internal controls and governance frameworks. Enhance awareness and transfer pricing compliance across the organization
Review new transfer pricing guidance/legislation across the globe and understand the potential impact(s) to the Company
Undertake process improvement and standardization of transfer pricing documentation
Management of transfer pricing studies (managing budgets, liaising with external advisors and internal stakeholders, etc.) and preparing documentation to meet contemporaneous documentation requirements in each country
Collaborating with the business through functional interviews and communication with operational management across different business lines to offer transfer pricing guidance for various business opportunities and transactions as needed
Working with Treasury to ensure intragroup financing is implemented with terms and conditions that comply with relevant laws and the arm's length standard; managing external studies to support documentation requirements and monitor compliance
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master’s or other post-graduate qualification preferred
8+ years of experience in transfer pricing, with a focus on operational execution in a multinational environment
Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
A self-starter, motivated and able to work independently
Strong project management skills
Ability to work collaboratively and to operate cross-functionally
Strong understanding of the OECD Guidelines, the U.S. transfer pricing regulations, and global transfer pricing compliance requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and overall ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
Ability to perform financial / economic analyses and build financial valuation models
Experience in the software or technology sector is highly desirable
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau)
Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
