Job Description

Position Overview
As the Senior Manager of Thermal Development – Mexico, you will be responsible for developing greenfield and brownfield standalone combustion turbine, combined cycle & reciprocating engine projects in Mexico as well as LATAM countries. Projects will be natural gas fired and potentially have liquid fuel as backup. This position will based out of our Mexico City Office.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the development of multiple thermal projects concurrently.Evaluate thermal power generation technologies and optimize selection for specific market and commercial conditions.Lead efforts to secure all local, state and/or federal permits, licenses and authorizations.Work collaboratively with the Engineering team to determine technology to be used its performance and capital costs.Support economic model development and financial evaluation.Create and manage project development budget, and capital cost estimates together with project schedules.Report and execute project management throughout the project development lifecycle, including project status reports and presentations for senior management.Work collaboratively with the Regulatory team to understand key market drivers and applicable requirements.Work collaboratively with the Business Development team to identify key requirements for plant sizing and operational requirements.Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, state and local officials, industry associations, landowners and other stakeholders.

Required Skills

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.8+ years of utility-scale thermal power development experience, or in similar roles in the power generation industry.Strong organizational, networking, leadership, and time management skills to work in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment to meet deadlines and time-sensitive duties.Strong communication skillsWillingness to participate in development activities with local communities.Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to support projects
