Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an opening for a Senior Manager, Supplier Management (Level M)This position will be responsible to for leading a diverse team responsible for all aspects of Commercial and Government Training Systems/Services Integrated Product Team and BGS-G Standards.  The ideal candidate for this position should have experience in setting up long term strategies to support Procurement Bill of Materials (PBOMs), procuring and managing suppliers who produce complex hardware for development and production programs as well as a variety of service-related efforts.   The candidate should also have the capability to lead in a challenging, dynamic, fast paced, and high volume environment.  This leader will also be responsible to ensure requirements are clearly defined, and that processes are streamlined to enable flexible and agile procurement to support the BGS business in a competitive and global market place.  You will need strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills to build and enhance relationships with internal stakeholders and key external suppliers.

This is an on-site position leading five (5) teams, 4 (4) in St. Louis, Mo, one (1) in Seattle, WA.  The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in St. Louis, Mo.

Position Responsibilities:

Manage employees and managers from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and commodity management and processes and supplier diversity.

Ensure organizational, business and technical strategies, goals and objectives related to highly complex and strategic negotiations aligns with company vision/strategy. Meet cost savings/affordability targets. Measures progress to plan. Holds negotiation team accountable for achieving goals. Participates in negotiations as necessary.

Provide strategic leadership, knowledge and oversight of negotiation processes and tools, advance the implementation of strategic contracting strategies, and participate in negotiations as necessary. Develop and build a compliance-focused team culture.

Develop and execute organizational strategies that accelerate growth, reduce cost, and improve supply base performance. Establish partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports. Builds strategic partnerships with suppliers and/or organizations to advance Boeing's position.

Build and develop an empowered team through coaching and mentoring, and provide developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities.

Champion a culture of communication that conveys organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of workgroup, project or process goals. Proactively communicate with employees, peers, customers, and stakeholders, keep others informed.

This position will also require proven ability to operate in a collaborative environment developing strong relationships across teams and functions to ensure overall success of aggressive business objectives in a dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):  

Experience in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Supply Chain Planning.

Experience with subcontracting in a USG approved purchasing system/environment

Experience working with suppliers and managing a supply base in a dynamic environment with frequent expedited procurement demands

Experience with business strategy execution plans.

Experience developing Procurement Bill of Materials 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with Commercial and or Government Training Solutions

Experience with MRP systems such as NWP

Summary pay range: 153,850 - 208,150
