Position SummaryThe Senior Manager, Student Support, leads a team of colleagues dedicated to program quality and accessibility.  The team is responsible for coaching field staff to meet the needs of diverse learners, supporting the development of curriculum and training resources to advance quality learning, and implementing training and professional development programs that equip Right At School staff to provide safe and joyful learning experiences for all.  In addition, the Senior Manager of Student Support oversees developing and implementing crisis management resources.  The role will lead those who provide 1:1 consultations & case management and coordinate services provided across RAS teams to build strengths in quality programming and crisis management.
A Day in the Life of This Role Serving as a Right At School internal specialist on positive child behavior guidance, progressive guidance, effective classroom management, inclusion of children with challenging behavior and/or special & diverse needs Supervising student support services team members as they support our field staff with 1:1 support, case management, related training, tools, and resources to meet each enrolled child’s unique needs Understanding cultural, location-specific, ethnic and other differences in backgrounds in order to provide respectful and appropriately tailored supports and resources to meet the needs of all stakeholders (field staff, family and community members, district and school leaders, and the students we serve) Establishing and maintaining a positive, highly professional work relationship with internal and external partners to support organization-wide efficiencies and Right At School mission fulfillment to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind Designing and developing policies and procedures to advance equity across Right At School programs in conjunction with other RAS leaders Collaborating with technology leaders at RAS to ensure online databases and other technology tools allow for effective implementation of student support services. Support the field & leads the charge for accessibility of programs in all of Right At School's product offerings (Right Club, Early Adventures, Recess, Jr. Right Club, KinderWrap, Middle School, etc.)  including new district/site support, program pilots, & new professional development initiatives with a focus on safety & joyful programming. In conjunction with the curriculum team, designing curricular resources to meet the needs of diverse learners Developing communication materials for use by field staff designed to ensure quality programming Assisting in the development of live, virtual instructor-led, and online courses focused on accessibility that address the needs of Right At School employees Providing crisis management communications and resource support to families in conjunction with field staff. Coaching others and/or travel to markets to model student support and accessibility best practices in order to help field staff replicate and implement them in their respective regions, scaling impact Other duties as assigned by your supervisor as business needs dictate (e.g. supporting various projects, travel to support live training, recommending policy, etc.).Position Requirements Preferred - Master’s/Graduate degree in child development or education with an emphasis/focus on supporting students with special needs 4+ years' experience serving children with special needs and their families Previous success developing inclusion resources and training/coaching for staff working with children with special needs and/or behavior challenges 3+ years’ experience developing and facilitating teacher/child provider trainings – preference for those who have developed and facilitated both live and online trainings with evidence of positive outcomes and transfer of learning Fantastic listening skills - being a keen observer, organized and able to quickly and creatively identify and solve problems -- sometimes on the spot Demonstrated excellence with verbal/written communication skills, attention to detail, and timely completion of duties Self-motivated and efficient, with good business judgment and analytical skills  Highly organized but also interpersonally flexible and systematically adaptable for continual improvement Collaborates with all stakeholders, internal and external, working seamlessly across multiple geographies, cultures, backgrounds, and philosophies Basic Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Adobe Professional skills; ability to learn new systems quickly Previous experience with online training platform management and/or needs assessment/gap analysis is a plus Travel up to 25% to support markets as neededWhy Work For Right At School Your work will directly impact the children, parents, and communities we serve.
